Like every possible variable that could be changed has been changed, plus there's a backup stream running concurrently. There SHOULD be no more problems! CCP Bro and Mindstar and a couple other dudes have been feverishly working while the tournament continued plodding on

so click here, the matches today have been great http://community.eveonline.com/en/tournament/evetv

This should have happened weeks ago, not during the live broadcasts.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

seems to be working MUCH better.
Still, any chance of a late replay on the dark taboo match? Maybe during the lunch break? The entire match was black screened.

i thikn the reason it was easy to re-stream the PL match yesterday is because it had JUST HAPPENED. It might be harder to rewind way back to the dark taboo match today but loxy's official word is ... "maybe"

Thanks for the heads up Zastrow, and props to the CCP broadcast team. I'm sure they've been working their asses off to get the issues corrected.

To be fair, sometimes problems arise when you have 8k viewers that you don't see under test conditions. The first two weekends were pretty much perfect.

And yes, thanks for the info Zastrow.

At the risk of jinxing stuff, it seems to be working so much better now.

And yeah, if you can swing a replay of our match with Dark Taboo during the break, that'd be awesome. We stopped looting so the game would finish quick enough that we could watch the thing, then we :sadfaced:

(ok, we didn't actually do that, but when we were back from jove space I kinda mentioned the possibility).

Hey guys, just wanted to get some more official blue tag added to this. We all do understand your frustration and we are just as, if not more, frustrated about it as you are.

First what is going on right now:
We now have two streams, the primary and a backup, running. When watching the stream under it you should be able to see the EVE TV #2 stream listed as well. The secondary stream is running from a different computer with a different encoder with different inputs. Basically as different as we could make it.

We actually hope to not need the secondary stream as we have also made a large number of changes to the first one. If however the primary stream does go down the secondary should stay up. We believe the problem to have been with some of the software on our end, the problem has not ever been on own3D's part. Having adjusted that software on the primary stream and added the backup stream with different software we believe we have covered our basis.

While it is true we maybe should have had the secondary stream going from the beginning we did not have any of these problems in the first two weeks and really not many live streams have backups running so we didn't think about it. Yay for 20/20 hind sight.

So again we really do apologize and I am also sorry we were not posting about this earlier but we were all really busy trying to fix the problems.

With that all out of the way so far all the feedback we have been getting in the last match is that the stream is doing really good so hopefully the problems are all behind us.

TL;DR: We think we fixed the broken, we have a backup, let us know how it is going. Really sorry. :(

Thanks for the update, FoxFour, seems to be working much better.

Any chance on rebroadcasting the matches that were broken? I realise you'd probably have said so by now, but thought I'd ask.

While it is technically possible we don't want to delay any of the other matches, and the recordings should hit YouTube tonight so I don't think so. Glad to hear the stream is working better. :D That is making us ALL feel better around here.
