How Tier 3 Battlecruisers Killed EVE PVP

We're all familiar with the Tier 3 (Hereafter T3) Battlecruisers. They are BCs that can fit BS sized guns and can do quite a bit of damage, although they are frail.

EVE is being invaded by the Call of Duty "Bro" mentality. This mentality is all about "blapping" and "fragging" and "l33t kills" and "noob tubes".

T3s offer these....people....the best way to get l33t kills. A T3 can alpha strike many targets smaller than a battlecruiser, so you can sit off a station undock in lo sec waiting to alpha people. This is technically PVP, but seriously CCP?

T3s also have also created a new kind of risk averse PVPer who is interested only in blapping frigs and runs from anything that he can't alpha. You see them roaming through low and null blapping frigates but running from anything bigger.

CCP has created a ship designed to appeal to the legions of trolls and no-skill CoD rejects. It has turned much of lo sec EVE pvp into a joke and BroFest.

To top it all off, many of the people who fly these things are Bronies! Nothing like losing your frigate on an undock and then having Rainbow Dash linked in local.

I wouldn't say that they've killed PvP, but they have made ganking retardedly easy. So easy that even HE can do it. But hey, that's where the game is headed, so whatever.

Look up m0o and the Zombies. Ganking has been a part of EvE since Beta. It's just gotten steadily harder/more expensive... which kind of works against your "thought," I guess.

hi

since I noticed u were a member of a starter corporation, i would suggest that u join a player corporation

they can help get u learning to play eve smartly and effecively so that you're ships dont die to enemy batltecruisers

for example you can orbit an enemy battlecruiser at 500 meters (1640.42 feet) and they wont hit u well with their battleship guns also because their so fast that they speed tank themselves (this is a term u will learn when u train for pvping)

that is as much information as i can give u on these new battlecruisers, but other player corporations that i suggest u join can maybe help u more so you can ask them and not on the forums (u will get a quicker response in corporation chat SmileSmile)

their is a corporation called THE MAVERICK ARMY that is a good corporation for new players to teach them how to pvp smartly and will let u in to fight by their side. i fought them and they are very good at evading fights so that there ships dont die to tornados (minmatar battlecruiser) and can teach u how to avoid death

They need to make a T3 BC that is for missiles.

The most difficult thing for these Battle Cruisers to bring those large BS guns to bear on (unless the pilot is incredibly bad) is... you guessed it... frigates.

I think there is a problem, but it has little to do with Tier 3 Battle Cruisers. Smile

You do realize that he can not target you until you move your ship and you can redock with impunity. Roll
