Level 4 equivalent isk in high sec?

Able to do them but in a raven they are so slow and it's really not something I am interested in spending my time in. I can't do trading, I am never successful at it. Is there a way? or Is level 4's the pinnacle in high sec for money?

I am joining RvB so I will be mostly spending my time in high sec and will need isk to replace ships.

If you "can't do trading" why should you be able to do any of things I could suggest?

Find a quiet area and do some exploration. A couple deadspace modules, blueprints, or decryptors will probably hold you over for the rest of the week. Of course if you do it in low-sec you'll get a better yield.

I don't know. I have tried trading for the last month and am making absolutely nothing out of it, at this point I am giving up on it, maybe I am just not market savvy :S

Have you tried Incursions?

*btw, during your stay in RvB running public Incursions will be near impossible due to your war and logistics taking over that war flagging

Other then that:

Mining (not better, but "different")
Exploration

And that's about it in high-sec.

Incursions is currently the top isk source in highsec.

Raven slow? Are you passively tanked or something?

Exploration. If you only have the ships for k-space sites, go to a low-sec system and run the radars and anomaly combat sites (stuff people can't find without probes). That'll keep you safe from WTs, or put everyone in equal danger from each other.

If you can fit a full T2 gun/missile BC at ship level 4 or 5, scan some wormholes from highsec and run C1s/C2s, it's faster and usually less risky (albeit you won't _know_ when it's not risky 'cause no local) and has better isk/hour, generally speaking.

If you trust that WTs won't come for you (remember RvB has random corps deccing them for lulz fairly frequently) you could also mine, or just downgrade to L3s, which given the SP/Player skill level in PvE your post indicates (L4s take a long time) will probably improve your isk/time.

550 dps raven, doesn't seem to bring in more than 10m an hour which is not even worth my time, I would just buy plex at that point.

Are you including the value of your LP in that calculation? (Remember to do this)

Are you looting and salvaging all the wrecks with your Raven? (For the love of sweet Christ on the cross, don't do this)

Are you changing ammo type to match rat resist holes? (Remember to do this)

My ishtar did ~550 dps and got about 10mil/hour in just bounties/rewards and that was just on the nice and easy to afk missions. what are you getting for your lp? should be able to do better than 10m/hour. at that point maybe looting + salvaging might be worth it too?

Also, you can try to find few level 4 agents near each other and decline all low paying missions. When I did level 4's in my Raven Navy, I kept list of how much different missions pays, and declined all which gave < 10 mil ISK from reward + bounties.

I also kept notes about which tactics works best in which missions (e.g. in which missions I can just go in and aggro all) so I got gradually better. Single agent only gave around 30 different missions so the list wasn't that long.

But in the end I left missioning and started trading. Cool

How exactly does one go about calculating the "value of LP"? People keep talking about "selling LP", but nobody ever says how you calculate their value.

Let's say certain item costs 1 mil ISK + 1000 LP in LP store, and you can sell it on market for 2 mil ISK. Then you effectively got 1 mil ISK with your 1000 LP, or 1000 ISK per LP.

Now just go through every item you can buy with LP and their market value to find best ISK per LP ratio you can find .....
