I used to use a heron in nulli sec to explore and had no problems at all finding every type of sites. Now im in high sec and i can't pinpoint a single location in the exact same ship which is a heron.

Why is it that i am no getting anything on scan when my probes cover the red bubbles completely. Should i wait and level my skills up higher?

CCP makes dumb changes sometimes.

Check your filters. The default is stupid, making stuff disappear at 25% when they would normally be identified.

ill give it a look and make a new filter thanks.

another question if i get down to .25 scan range and the target is still only around 30% does that mean i basically don't have the scan strength even when all my probes are covering the location?

Sometimes the only sites left in high sec are the ones that are too hard for most people to scan.

Usually they are mag or grav sites that aren't worth the bother anyway.

I have a main who can do level 4 missions so im curious if it is eve worth doing the combat missions in high sec? Im about to get in a arby and will be able to do some of them but ive been mostly looking for Radar sites.

High sec combat sites are mostly frigs and cruisers. You'd make a lot more doing level 4 missions, even if you get an escalation and that ends with some nice loot. It's fun to go through the process, but high sec exploration isn't really a big money spinner.

I have read that alot of people say go tengu for high sec exploration. If most of the sites are frigs and cruisers why are they using tengus? seems like a bit of overkill.

Because it can probe and kill effectively and quickly in the same setup. No time wasted getting another ship to do the combat plus bonused probes to pin sites faster.

Edit: in high sec finishing sites isn't an issue. Finishing before someone else shows up and takes the goodies is the problem.

well you have either a kill site where you kill everything or you have sites that you use analyzer and codebreaker to loot all the goods.

Are people clearing sites fast to try and get escalations which then may produce good loot or is there something special at all of the blood forlorn dens i keep seeing?
