That's not a very courageous choice of background but it is appropriated, then why not.
You've done a good work with her eyes, a rare thing for the one you used. (Usually these eyes seems 'unreal')
Good lips, good overall face, except perhaps for the nose but it also acts as a contrast to prevent your char from becoming some kind of unrealistic perfect doll. That gives a lot of humanity to your picture.
I like the tatoo and I must say that if usually I'm agaist these so simple clothes, here it works pretty well.

So... 9.5/10 :)

Or, as we shoud all say with such a mark, your avatar is accorded to my tastes and with the points I find important for rating an avatar.


Then you get between 8-10 as well! Actually I'd like to see, some other combinations/angles even hair with your character, it has an interesting base face, but stick with what you like, I just like the base and could see many other things with it. 9.0 maybe 10, semantics.

@ Jax I really like the face structure/hair/overall look. But the overly fake baked look distracts from the good too much. Maybe some different lighting or poses could minimize that...? Maybe throw in a little contrast, I'm not sure. 8/10

@Arakkis From that angle, your avatar reminds me of a goofy skinny villain type from cartoons. Maybe you could play that up some? As it is, it's a little bland. 6/10

Very beautiful character, overall shape, expression etc... the only thing I can recommend you, is to wonder if the colors of your avatar are according well between eachothers (green eyes, red cheecks, brown background, etc). Oh, and perhaps the chin, that I find a bit slim.

Again this is all a matter of personal tastes, but I know that inside the corporation I'm not the only one appreciating you :)

@Jax Bederen : The problem with Altrue is that when I edit her, I'm almost stuck and can only move of a few pixels. Because you can easily destroy the picture by making odd shadows, mostly on her neck.

I've been looking forward to rating your avatar, Adalynne. In my opinion it's one of the better faces about. I love her expression more than anything; the face itself is gorgeous. I'd tone the make-up down a notch though and change the platinum blonde hair to something darker. Other than that there isn't really much I can say. You've done a fantastic job, so I'll give you a well deserved 9/10.

Altrue, yours is another of the better avatars out there. I'm particularly in love with the sombre mood you've set. I like the imperfections you've added to the face to give it a sense of realism too; what's that proverb? "A diamond with a flaw is better than a stone without one".

I'm not a personal fan of the Gothic lipstick, but that's down to taste.. and it is perhaps too dimly lit, but that aside I think your avatar deserves 8.5/10.

His appearance doesn't have anything choking, including the hair (which is in itself almost surprising, but if I try to imagine him hairless, I understand why he is not).

Basic background, anything noticeable about the clothes.. and of course you wear glasses !
Basically, glasses are the hard way, because if you hide a good part of your face with a very common object, it becomes harder for you to become interesting or original.

And that's the main 'problem' of this avatar : He is clean, good, simple... but very basic, and very common. Some might say 'boring', but if you just want to have a good avatar that's the right choice.

Finally, the expression is almost too neutral, and you fall in this trap like manies : your avatar now have in my opinion a slightly dumb expression because he is not trying to express anything.

6/10 but I hope you understand that it's not an ugly avatar :)

Looks believable enough to me. You've done a good job at avoiding the uncanny valley, but I fear your avatar is just a little too simple for my tastes. It's definitely not a bad avatar by any means! I just think you could have been more courages with the outfit and background.

I like the lighting choice you went with, it works very nicely with your make-up and your expression. I will say that a little more roundness in the front part of the jaw, and perhaps a little less prominence on the chin might make it look less masculine, however the overall effect is pleasing to the eye.

The hair works well, both the colour and cut, as does the clothing choice, though maybe a slightly lighter background would help everything blend together better. Overall though, very nicely done and a solid 8/10 from me Big smile

The expression is here, the colors as well. A few imperfections, that makes the character look pretty good in fact.

I just don't know if this background is appropriated, but right now I can't find another that would fit accordingly.
