Ranged weaponry. Bring EVE to the current century...

Warp Scramblers and such... They don't meld with your 30km, 70km, 200km, or any regular range km at all... PVP is inherently going to feel weird...

My proposal? A high slot "weapon" designed to disrupt warp for a temporary amount of time, and needing to be re-applied to keep the enemy warp scrambled.

There are many ways to balance this, for instance; missile form, rather than insta or gun form. This requires you to see the enemy starting to align before they warp and firing the missile so it hits just in time... The payload itself becomes a multiplicative balancer, multiplying on what balance CCP designs to give to such disruption after this.

How should a ship be disrupted? Well some possible ways; A. A few seconds of disruption. B. A kinetic weapon designed to unalign the target, potentially even sending it flying way off. C. Creating a miniature warp scramble sphere somewhere ahead of the targets current intended alignment (think .5-3km wide, somewhere like that). D. A variation of A, except under these circumstances the target must be in warp, going 60% of max speed, and they are warp disrupted for 45 seconds to two minutes, depending on what becomes "balanced".

Additionally, more limits could be made. For instance these missiles or shots could take up large amounts of cargohold, similar to bombs, making it more difficult to spam the ability.

Price as always is a potential limiting factor, as well as SP.

If any one of you say this is overpowered, your a complete dunce and don't belong in EVE.

Too overpowered.

Or you could offer the flip side as well as this. An ion cannon, that disables ships. So someone fleeing could hit the chaser with it, shutting him down, and escape.

A never escape and an always escape.

Alternatively, we could have a couple of midslot mods that shut down a ship's ability to create a warp tunnel. One that has longer range and less warp disruption strength, and another that has less range but more strength and also shuts off MWDs. There could even be ships with bonuses to the range of these types of modules, with some getting point range out to 100km or more with boosts. I think that would work really nicely as a means to stop somebody warping away from a fight.

Actually, price and SP were considered the limiting factor for Super Carriers and Titans, yet the proliferation of super capitals has still been a problem.

Please tone down the irony in your posting, that's just too much. Also, in a forum that is supposed to encourage discussion, pre-emptively calling somebody a dunce doesn't help foster discourse.

Just add warp disrupt probes that can be "shot out" (from HEAVY interdictors) instead of "dropped" (from regular interdictors).
Higher cargo space requirements, shorter durations.

Isn't one of the dictors roles to get in range of a fleet to warp disrupt? I feel CCP should really take a warning from these types of suggestions because to me it just shows people are bored and have way too much time on their hands thinking up random shite like this.

More content in-game removes idle hands!!!

Remove Scrams and Ruptors, replace it with a single module which increases it's point strength the closer it is to the target.
