As it said in topic name, i'm looking for API registration mod for IPB ver 3.x
I need funcions listed below:
- during registration process, user should enter API key and vCode;
- system should check corporation and alliance, check my corporation/alliance standings to this alliance and allow or deny registration according to standings list and access rules;
- system should change user display name to format which configured in module, for example: CORP_TICKER - Ingame_character_name or other space (if i will add it in mod settings) , or ALLIANCE_TICKER - CORP_TICKER - Ingame_character_name; Anyway it should be changeble settings;
- mod should have option to configure access groups which will be linked to forum groups.
- it should have crontab option to check users API and remove access for users who left corporation/alliance.

Addtition: if this mod will also provide same features for access to Openfire jabber server - will be cool.

I think the main reason for such a mod not being made yet (or made privately for somebody), is that you need to have a license for IPBB before you can start creating such a mod.
When you then realize that such a license is expensive ($175) and doesn't really feature more over free forum packages like phpBB and SMF (as described here) and only provides 6 months worth of updates and upgrades (unless you add another $25 per 6 months), it's easy to understand such a mod will probably not be here for quite a while.
Not to mention that because of the non-upgrade after 6 month policy it's easy for people to use different versions of the forum, making it even harder to create a mod.

So my question to the both of you:
What's the main reason you want to keep using IPBB ?
