Insta-joining corporations to surprise wartargets - Where is CCP's stance on this post-inferno?

Not so long ago I had this tactic pulled on me (pre inferno on a different character), for those who dont know it involves having a neutral accepted (in space) into a corp thats at war in order to ambush an unsuspecting WT in the same system/on the same grid.

The only official statement, I could find, from CCP regarding this exploit is this: http://community.eveonline.com/news.asp?a=single&nid=2317&tid=1 but it also says its out-of-date and no longer applicable.

If I recall, inferno changed it so that players cannot rejoin a corp thats at war for 7 days but for the most part this was a change intended for corp-hoppers and not for insta-joining-gankers so the tactic in question is still an exploit and losses from this are reimbursable, right?

I also heard that it is not an exploit if theres a session change timer occurs between the player joining the corp and the player attacking the WTs e.g. joining corp in an adjacent system and then jumping to the system your WTs are.
Can a dev or anyone please give some clarification on this matter?

But according to this http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Session_change_timer session change timers include ejecting/changing ships, so theoretically someone could warp on grid with a WT in a pod, get accepted into corp, board a ship delivered by a friend (triggering a session change timer) and then proceed to pop the target - how is this fair?

1. You have to go through a session change when you join a new corp (ie undocking). You shouldn't be able to accept people in space anymore anyway.

2 You cannot leave and rejoin the same corp within 7 days if the corp is AT WAR. However nothing stops you from cycling into a corp with a different war.

Good so youre saying the game will no longer let you join a corp while you're in space?

pre-inferno, wardeccers needed all the advantages they could get, as all the other exploits favored the defender. During my time in a hisec war corp, we used this tactic a handful of times. It got us a few hulks, a couple orcas, and a few mission ships. Frankly though, our targets never bothered setting the mysterious maulus pilot that was on all those kills red, so i guess they didn't deserve those ships anyway.

I think anything the game allows is legal so far as killing people who have dec'd you. Also who told you eve was fair? They lied.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

Please Note: Any advice given comes with the caveat that nothing will be suitable for every situation.

I would like to state, that you can still join a corp at war, in space....while hovering 2 (WT) mining ships in a stealth bomber. Pirate
You just need to apply in station.

Not true. If you're sitting in the same belt as someone, and are then accepted into a corp and engage the the guy, that is an exploit.

This is only allowable if there is a session change in between you joining and your attack (join then jump into system, join then undock, join then log in, etc)

I'm not exactly sure what inferno changed in this matter but if it's still possible, then its probably safe to say its still an exploit

Joining in space HAD to be allowed otherwise super pilots couldn't join a corp etc...

AFAIK CCP policy has always been a session change is required otherwise it is an exploit (they aren't allowed to be next to you and suddenly go flashy red unless they went gcc...)
