i'll share my own derp moments.

1. very first wormhole i entered - in my excitement, did not BM the exit, warped to the first anom i saw thinking "ooo whats that?" blap from the sleepers and probe gets one-shotted. had to kill myself lol. (at least i didn't make a thread pleading for help)

2. i join a small WH corp that resided in a C2 they were cool guys, but i hadn't the faintest ideas of POSes i wasn't actually in the corp yet. the CEO was telling me the password to FF - as i was already warping to him then to my horror the autos obliterated my alts orca. he asked why i didnt enter the password. i replied - i didn't know how... i figured i could do it at the POS lol. they were nice enough to compensate for the lost orca even though it was technically my foolish mistake.

3. i used to think probing on top of the sun uncloaked was a good idea. obviously this has been rectified.

Dark Helmet: Careful you idiot! I said across her nose, not up it!
Laser Gunner: Sorry sir! I'm doing my best!
Dark Helmet: Who made that man a gunner?
Major A$shole: I did sir. He's my cousin.
Dark Helmet: Who is he?
Colonel Sandurz: He's an as$hole sir.
Dark Helmet: I know that! What's his name?
Colonel Sandurz: That is his name sir. As$hole, Major As$hole!
Dark Helmet: And his cousin?
Colonel Sandurz: He's an as$hole too sir. Gunner's mate First Class Philip A$shole!
Dark Helmet: How many a$sholes do we have on this ship, anyway?
[Entire bridge crew stands up and raises a hand]
Entire Bridge Crew: Yo!
Dark Helmet: I knew it. I'm surrounded by as$holes!

Have they gone to plaid?

It's been rather quiet in our home the last week or so. People having things to take care of in life and all that. I spend my time poking fun at a corpmate that lost a Loki a few weeks back. FC told him to bump a Navy Dominix off the hole, but didn't clearly tell us his shields were almost gone. We got on field just in time to watch it pop.

Can you hear them? They are calling to us. It is beautiful. http://thegreattichim.wordpress.com/

1. An orca that exited its pos shields numerous times to anchor guns, not online. Needless to say we pounced on it with a couple bombers.

2. I wasn't actually there for this one, but a couple of my guys ran into a corp onlining it's large true Sansa tower. Beside the tower sat a tornado and a bustard, which they stole. But then for some reason a visitor they had cloaked unanchored the tower, and cloaked again. With 3 minutes left to unanchor, they pounced on the tower again, decloaked and killed the viator and a heron, and stole the unanchored true Sansa tower with the stolen bustard.
Also the tornado was faction fit.

3. While we were RFing a tower, a local got into his chimera, and warped to planet 1, then back to the top of his tower, where we were sat, outside of the force field. He then proceeded to launch his fighters and begin attacking our 30 man gang.

4. We started scanning our recently opened c3 static. After not long a guy started talking in local about how it was rude to probe down other peoples holes, and sent his scan alt into what he thought was our c2, without scanning find our actual c5. He then began describing to us what was in the c2, and making fun of how the pocos were interbus and that the local corp which he thought was us only had 11 members. He then informed us that there was a highsec hole, and that he loved highsec holes.after telling us anything and everything about the c2, he got into an orca and went to go close the hole.
This caught us by surprise but we still managed to catch and kill the orca on its way home.
We then informed him that it's possible to have 2 connecting holes.

You all hardcore pvpeers post the miserable fails of others, well most of you at least.
Let`s change that for a couple of... seconds.
I was watching Wormnav in my phone while I was driving back home when I see a little spike in the NPC kill count. Weird couse it was improbable that at that hour my corpmate was running sites since he should be working. So as soon as I arrived home I kicked my two years old son out of the way and run to the pc ignoring his laments and cryings. I logued in my buzzard and luckily I don`t see anyone in DScan so my chances of not have been seen in the log increased.
Fine, I warp cloacked to the sun and see a drake in Dscan. I start pinpointing his location not dropping probes and once I have his location I warp to the site at 100km. I see the Drake killing the last BS and he warps off and off Dscan. Soon I see an orca and a catalyst. The catalyst warps and start salvaging the first Wreck. While all of this was going on I log my alt with the same luck as not beeing seen in Dscan. Fleet him and warp to my main at 30. In the meantime I hit the approach button with my main on a wreck to get closer to him. My alt lands and I start slowboat towards him. All this time I`m thinking that maybe the orca would land on the grid to start salvaging and I could get my first juicy capital kill (yes, my life is that sad) when I see my mains buzzards decloacks.
Catalyst cloacks
Orca vanishes from Dscan
Catalyst warps out
Me sad panda.

So, LOST finds a Domi, Enyo and Caracal sitting on a HS hole in a C2. We warp in a snipe fleet from another wormhole and snipe the Enyo and Caracal, the Domi jumps out. Chillin around the system we find that the POS tower is at 56% shield and just went up so we take our small snipe fleet over there and start shooting.

Not 10 minutes later Exhale shows up in the high sec and quickly gets wormhole control. LOST reforms with a comparable fleet and brings a fight.

Except that as soon as LOST jumps in, Exhale runs away without firing a shot.

So why do people still pay these guys?

Not that I should have to say this, but 14 on grid doesn't mean just 14 in fleet. Prior experience has taught us to expect far more than that.

Ok so steering back toward the failblog and away from the exhale. bashing...

Had another one fairly recently where I tried for a very long time to harrass and bait these guys (Sk33t Fl33t) out.
I did so because we encountered them a couple weeks previous and managed to bait + kill them after them telling us in local that we were no threat.

Anyhoo...

There is an orca somewhere in system, not in a POS - one of our guys leaves combats out but hidden and waits.
Nearly an hour later it pops up, he gets it and warps to it. It disappears off of d-scan again.

As he lands he uncloaks and knocks the orca off of cloak. The loki points and shoots the orca who then proceeds to warp off (stabbed).
Sk33t Fl33t probably used this as bait as after a short amount of time, their fleet lands where the orca was and a fight ensues.

Battle report for the fight - Keep in mind that it doesn't show the logi and ECM on their side that didn't make a kill / lossmail.

Our scout on their POS tells us that the Orca has landed at the POS but not in the shields... oh and now the tower is shooting at it. It dies before our battle is over, just another sad case of "what was the password again" I suppose.

Orca Loss here (bugged, but API verified)

I was wondering - if you smartbomb in the vicinity of your own POS modules does the POS go agressed to your own corp?

They seriously need to work on that tho we've had people do things that are relatively benign before but result in the POS agressed to our own corp for 15 minutes its crazy.

We've fought carriers who were fighter/smartbomb fit in the vicinity of their own tower:

http://talun.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=10368244

They accidentally pulled their own fighters through their own smartbombs and got aggressed by their own tower. It was priceless.
