The thing about Grandpa Bill is, occasionally he just nails one that really does sound like a grandpa talking. For example: "I do like music, always have." He's got the speech pattern pretty down. So a thumbs up for that.

Indeed. Its real roleplaying not that half-assed "I am Amarrian long live god" stuff...

I'm pretty sure Grampa Bill is actually my uncle Tedrow. Before long he'll tell us his story about when he was a cook on a destroyer during the War, and how he'd serve the officers ice cream during their whiskey and poker sessions, and secretly help himself to a bowl for himself. Then go out an enjoy it in his hammock, which he had rigged out of sight of officers and NCOs in a little space between a gun turret and a bulkhead. Cool ice cream in a hammock on a hot night in the South Pacific, no officer types to bother you. Sorry Uncle Ted, I told one of your stories, but I imagine you'll get around to telling it again. Smile

He is hilarious. He's got that deep south american drawl. Sometimes I wonder if all the Euros on here have trouble understanding it completely.

Good observation. Some of the humor might get lost without understanding the stereotype it references.

Actually, I'm not real particular to ice cream. Never have really. My mother used to make it back in the day quite often, my niece took up the tradition when mother passed and I still dont enjoy it much. Otherwise, good story.
