Just been offered a place in the mighty "Goonwaffe" corporation. They've offered to do the entire process of auth and giving the 500m security deposit via http://www.goonfleet.net. This site is new and I haven't seen it before, is it a scam?

Have you googled Goonswarm recruitment perchance? Or read up on it on their Wiki?

Edit: If you haven't, then don't worry about it. It will just lay to rest many of your concerns. The Goons know that reputation is paramount in EVE though, so really, you've got nothing to worry about.

The original alliance is actually Goonswarm. This Goonfleet Federation is an imposter.

I can't say I'd ever given it that much thought, to be honest. Maybe I would like being a nifty little combat drone, flying through the depths of space, wheeling and barrelling between laser beams and projectile shells, dispensing furious justice to the hulls of ne'er-do-wells.

Then again I have a tendancy to forget my drones, so they get abandoned in deadspace complexes all over New Eden, and left to rust or get kidnapped and turned into Rogue Drones - a fate I woudn't wish on anyone, much less myself.

On balance, I'll have to disagree with you, personally.

I'm pretty sure your alliance leader wouldn't appreciate you saying such horrible things about another alliance... BTA has strict policies when it comes to being upstanding citizens of New Eden, I'm sure these lies such as this are just based on your misinformation. I'll send Mal a mail later to make sure your information is up to date.

Fear not, your application is legitimate and an auth director should be processing it shortly, assuming you've went ahead and applied as your recruiter requested.

The OP is clearly roleplaying a moron on the forums. I hope you dont roleplay a character this stupid in game!

Please note, this is in no way a personal attack on the OP or an insult.... In fact, simply by reading just this one post by the OP, I can see that he is indeed a very accomplished rolplayer and his protrayal of what a moron might post is spot on!

You know us and Mallinthas? Wow, didn't know we were that famous really. As for being fine upstanding citizens. ofcourse we are, we're industrialists, we don't gank people, we don't scam, we don't bother anyone, we just make isk, generally selling pew pew to whoever has ISK for us.

Oh, if you guys are in the market for more capitals from us, we'll soon also have fighters to go with them... and I'm considering to also expand into capital modules.

Not so much famous as that I flew in BTC for over two years... I was there when Mal became CEO ;-)
