You will find in time that there is little else to keep you here apart from PvP. everything else becomes very boring until PvP becomes boring and then you just troll the forums/play another game
I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

atleast let us set a PvP status, other games do it, and don't say that makes it less fun, what fun can come from picking on someone who doesn't wish to fight you, bullies the lot of you Pffft....

EVE was like this from the very beginning. As "carebears", WE are the ones stomping all over their PvP FFA Paradise. They act like that just because they can, and they are encouraged by the game mechanics.

Why do some people in real life become malicious hackers, thugs, or just bullies in general? It's just the dark side of human nature, don't take it personally. However I'd suggest this isn't a game for people with thin skins.

For even bringing up the subject you can expect to be trolled, taunted, and harrassed to no end. That's EVE for you.

Let the OP have his no pvp flag, however when ticked no pvp, OP can not sell any ore / ice mined during that time period (after all goons are doing market PVP too, and if the OP could mine his ice, and sell it, he would be pvping in the market, and if he could sell it later, he could do massive market pvp, but have been 100% safe) (ha better plan, no pvp market and pvp market, the no pvp market prices would be close to 0isk as no loses would need to be replaced, no fuel would be needed as .4 and below the no pvp flag would not work so op can have his own worthless market!)

So OP can make no money while flagged no pvp, can come back here and cry about it, and we can get another lol thread!

Sounds like a plan?

OK, it looks like someone has absolutely no clue as to how this game works, so let me enlighten you a little bit. Eve Online is a PvP game, plain and simple. The moment you hit the "Undock" button on your NeoCom, you are consenting to PvP, even in so called "safe" High-Sec. As the Goons have been proving, the only places that are truly safe are an NPC station or a safe spot with a CovOps Cloak.

Now, the way I see it, you have a few options. You can either:
A) Quit the game.
B) Grow a pair and fight back.
C) Move to a different region.
D) Find something else to do.

Hell, if you have some liquid ISK to invest, start buying the modules they usually use at a low-ish price a few regions away and then bring them in and make some mad cash off the Gooons' suicidal new project. You have all sorts of avenues open to you to get around their ganking and have fun/make money but instead you're here whining and crying cause they blew up your favourite toy. Eve is a very cruel and unforgiving environment. If you're looking for hugs, sunshine, and fields of flowers where everyone gets along, Hello Kitty Island is =========> that-a-way.

Look - we need to clear up this "if you undock you consent to PvP" rubbish...it's complete bollocks.

Look at real life - when you leave your house, do you 'consent' to being mugged? No you don't , but you do accept that it could happen, but there are deterrents in place to help guard against it happening.

I have to ask, where are the actual empire forces in all of this - surely if the Gallente Federation's economy is being manipulated in this fashion, and not to their benefit, they would be doing something about it and not sitting back and allow 'invaders' to come in ruin their empire for them (look at the two most protectionist countries in the real world, China and the US - would they allow this to happen?)...so its not Concord that should be taking action, but the Gallente Navy. But, because the whole game mechanic for these actions is, while not broken, unrealistic, the Goons can do what they want.

On top of the post-Incarna Perpetuum effect which severely reduced player numbers, I suspect that there are many 'casual gamers - those who come on to mine and hang out with their corpies (in other words, the silent majority) who will probably think "screw this" as a waste of my monthly subscription. And of course now people are being offered a protection racket to get 'grey' standings with the Goons - who will probably gank them anyway!

As for making modules to sell to the Goons - why would I want to help someone screw the game even more?

I won't unsubscribe and will do other stuff to fill in my time online - but that means I'm playing someone else's EVE online, not mine.

H Ugh

Nonsense.

In real life, when you leave your house, there is a chance you'll get mugged, yes. Hell, there is big chance it will happen while you are in it. So, EVE is very carebearish, since I'd too like to enter your captain's quarters, mug you, take your ISK, kill you while you sleeping, drag your corpse through the catwalk (awesome vid, btw, CCP), tie it to your most expensive ship, and exit the station while I'm listening to The Credence at full volume...

Jokes aside, your post sucks:

1) In real life there are consequences? Ok, sorry to burst your bubble, but guess what? Most of the time there are none. Crime pays, bad people get away with pretty much everything they want, politicians lie, innocents die in huge stupid wars, etc. EVE, as hard as it is, is to Switzerland what real life is to Harlem, with you running naked in the street with a huge sign "I hate blacks!" and you spitting by on passerbies. Yes, you will get killed.

2) In EVE, life is easy. CONCORD is flawless, 100% efficient. Crime is severely punished. Offenders have no access to market hubs (with that char at least). Hell, you can track them down and kill them, and CONCORD will back you up on this (by not killing you...) . Don't like what Goons do? Grab a gank ship, patrol their supply lines to Deklein, kill everything that moves (is all theirs or blues to them, make no distintion), ransom them, scorn at them, smack them. Get payback. They may laugh at your futile attempts, but from you part you will have experienced the TRUE side of EvE: the freedom to do whatever you want (except visit Jove space and gank some devs on their market hubs)

3) Gallentes-what? They are french. Even then, plot-wise, this is completely plausible. TCF gave Deklein to Goons, TCF also gave their connection in the Gallente whatwhat to the Goons, this the Gallente are looking elsewhere. Going deeper in the story, pod pilots are basically inmortal demi-gods, who gives a **** what the french think or care?

I do agree though, that actually paying up the Goons would be stupid... but see? We agree on something.

To add, the idea of two servers is stupid.

PVP'ers would be ok, since 0.0 empires have their own industry, would require a lot of work, but is doableish.

Non-pvp'ers would like the idea at first, till their notice their markets are dead, since no one is buying stuff, since the only people dying on their servers are mission runners dying to Angel Extravaganza, and idiots that shoot the station by mistake. Imagine a 0.0 without pvp... imagine the intel channels "Light blues in HED-, people! Dock up and corner the market, before their freighters dock up, fleet up people! We need triple plated Vagas to bump the freighters out of alignment to give our market gurus some time!"

Along these lines I'm willing on letting him sell his ice that he mined but everything you purchase will have a 100% tax on top of it an everything you sell or isk given to you has a 99% tax on it, restricted to empire, and has a 6 month flag to turn pvp flag on and off I would have no problem letting him be pvp immune. But the costs to flip the flag would be all the isk in your wallet.

forgot to add not allowed to trade items with other players, accept missions, look at the market. Basically he should be confined to the station
