I just found my first ruin and went to use my analyzer. Most of the ruins i was able to open but 2 of them told me they where to complex for my analyzer. My skill level was a 1 when i tried, i have since trained to level 3 archaeology.

Do some of the ruins require a T2 analyzer?

Looked up...saw this F***ING clown dropping like a rock.  Woke up in Vylade wondering what just happened!!!

I don't think anything requires a T2 analyzer, but I wouldn't stake my life on it, there could be some C5-C6 sites or something like that which require it.

Helpful tip though: IIRC, using the rigs for the profession sites (salvaging/analyzing/codebreaking) seems to have the same effect of training up that skill. I have had situations where I couldn't salvage a wreck normally, but coming back in a salvage-rigged ship let me do it right away. So, if you can't analyze something you find, try coming back in a rigged ship.

Thanks I appreciate the tip. I didn't even realize their where rigs that affected the analyzer success rate

You only need level 4 and T1 module ( salvager/analyzer/codebreaker ) in any k-space site and c1-c5 w-space sites ( I don't know about c6 though ).
If you want to do a lot of professions sites in null then training those skills all the way up to level 5 and using T2 mods is advised. Most of the time spent in those sites is wasted on opening the cans usually. Level 5 + T2 mods really make a difference.
For lowsec level 4 + T1 mods are sufficient.
