There is a chance that I will be out of the Country on that date. If not, make sure I will be there like I always have been in London!

Great news and thank you CCP for the opportunity of discussing this great game over tanning, quality food and party.

I have a summer house around there and I can assure everyone that it is quite nice place to be.

I need to remind to all people that are booking hotels using other webpages that:

1: Our hotel prices include transportation to and and from airport. a taxi would cost you a kiddney getting you there.

2: While it is your right to book from any page you feel like we need to know as soon as you book that you will come to make arrangements.

PLEASE, do let us know if you wish to come or if you booked allready.

One easy way to get to the venue is to get from the airport to the trainstation there and get the train to Corinth. From there a taxi service is very cheap and the train ticket is smt like 4-5 euros iirc.

See you at the venue.

Ok so my brain hurts: Summerfest is listed as being 14-16th... yet you can book a trip to sightsee in Athens on the 15th. If we do this, will we be missing out on EVE Geekiness?

No, EVE gigness is not to be missed in anyway. As a matter of fact we saw that by shifting a bit the shedule fo the variosu acticities we can do more. But on the other hand our day will be split into having fun and enjoying the summer in greece as well as doing eve related stuff.

EVE DUST Summerfest 2012 - “EVE on a beach”

Have you ever dreamt about endless beaches, soothing ocean waves, sipping cocktails while casually planning your next world domination tour in EVE Online or eagerly listening to latest news from the CCP headquarters presented by their most renowned developers?

Then you are right here!

EVE on a beach, the EVE DUST Summerfest 2012, is waiting for you!

We invite you to our large Summerfest in Loutraki, Greece from September 14 to September 16, 2012. This event will include roundtable discussions with CCP developers at the beach and presentations in the Apollo hall at the spectacular Poseidon Resort. We also have a paintball tournament in the DUST 514 style (without planetary bombardment, maybe next year…), sightseeing trips around the country and of course beach parties.

CCP t0rfifrans, CCP Guard and CCP Tallest will present the newest information in the appropriate classical way: in an amphitheater located next to the sea at the amazing Poseidon resort.

We, the organizers, are a multinational team of EVE players that have selected the Poseidon resort for its sheer beauty and very affordable prizes. For the “pro touch” of this event we have full support of the travel and conference organization specialists from Norstar company (http://www.norstar.gr/). The area offers also one of largest casinos in Europe, a world famous Spa and a beautiful landscape to explore and discover.

The Summerfest ticket costs 50 Euros for early bookers until end of June, 60 Euro afterwards and 70 Euro right at the venue. Hotel prices range from 38 Euros per night, the paintball event has a starting price of 13 Euros per game. We are still in negotiation with Sponsors to cut down costs even further, your early booking helps us helping you!

When was the last time you left the sea or pool and watched a presentation under the moon listening to CCP staff wearing a swimsuit?

Let’s get hot. Let’s get wild. Let’s go Summerfest!

Summerfest 2012 from Sep. 14 to 16 in Loutraki, Greece for only 50 Euros.

You might find it usefull to know that the flight tickets from most major european airports to Athens LGAV Eleftherios Venizelos airport is under 190 euros.

We are workign hard to make it selectable to book flights directly from our main booking page.

See you there!

Don't forget about the ~$1000 plane ticket from the U.S.! :(
It's great that people are doing things like this though. Thank you. If it weren't such short notice, I would save up and go.

It is amazign to see how many people are commign and from what distant places they are commign from.

As i sahred allready in the twitter and facebook pages of the summerfest i will repeat here that we landed a super sponsor this past few days and there are some last minute modifications to the best.

I hope to see you all there.

More details shortly

p.s

I spoke with some guys of a SEAL team and they found it very interesting to come see the lectures and offcourse participate in the Paintball tournament if they are available. I think that Guard will need some snake implants if he wishes to make it out intact.

Hmmmm, Grecian beachs!!!!

Most of the shoreline is rocky. Considering that about everyone in their 20's or younger is out of work, most of the nice spots will be full of the smelly (but not yet unattractive) homeless. How will they react when they discover you only have isk?

CCP Zulu.....      Forcing players to dock at the captain's quarters is a form of what we actually wanted to get through, which is making Incarna a seamless part of the EVE Online experience. (i like to steal sigs)

Allmost the entire Corintian bay is laid with beutifull beaches and less with rocky ones. This is rather unfortunate for me cause i like to go snorkiling allot and the cliffs make for nice rift like scenes.
As for the unemployed youngsters they will most certainly be on the beach yeah. In Greece with 3 euros you can still have two souvlakis a day witch is more then a good meal and drinking water especialy in loutraki is mineral watr quality out of the faucet. Plus everyone is extra happy in greece despite the current crysis. You will know why when you see it for yourself.

Hope to see you all theres.

Blink50 Euros for free for everyone comming? Sort off, but you got the bait now let me explain a bit.Blink

OK - Good news

But we need your colaboration very very badly here.

As i said i managed to land a big time sponsor who will help us pay for the biggest part of the expenses. This allows us to lower the entry ticket by allot. This does however perplex organisation issues a bit more. And by a bit it makes us feel like a toad sitting in a blender thinking that this would be a challenge even for McGuiver of frogs. Idea

So please read this so you know how you can save 50 euros you can spend better during your stay.
Allot of people opt to pay on spot for the entry ticket ans book via other means the hotels witch is fine. Our booking page was a bit confusing for several including me but it would cost me a kidney to make a new one. And i allready got a morgage on the other one to make the summerfest happen.

This unfortunatly does leave us guessing about the final number of people comming and its an organisation nightmare. Plus since we cannot prove in advance how many people actually booked at the venue ths booking spike on the Resort does not prove that you are comming for the Summerfest if you booked via other means. No grunges. It is your right to book however you wish too, but this meant that this drove up by allot the renting of the Venue. (Oppps on kidney mortgage.) Shocked

But how can you help?

Here is the deal.

Send us a mail that you are comming at http://www.summerfest.eu/contact.php
In the mail state your name and mention two things:
1

You are comming.

2 you want- dont want to participate in the paintball tournament.

By doing so you wil be asked for an entry ticket at the price of 20 euros upon arrival. If you do not do so the entrance will be at 70 euros. So spread the word to others as well.

Simple as that.

If you allready payd for the ticket you will be refunded for the price difference on site or via direct bank transfer on your paypal accounts if you preffer. For reassons of convinience and to make things faster. please please try to have a 20 euro bill ready. Its very common (even in Greece yes) and it will save allot of time on check in.

We are accepting entries via email by September 7th. It costs you nothing so please do so.

Please help us organise this a bit better for all of us.

Thank you for your time

I need to clarify something again regarding the paintball games. Entry per game is 15 euros. By that you get a mask an asortment of 200 rounds a gun (unless you preffer tossign the paintballs via slingshots, blowguns, telekineses) and you better make sure you have some long pants. sneekers and a long sleeved shirt or smt.

As i promissed i allready talked with some guys in one of our Seal teams and they said that they would love to come over help us organize things a bit and maybe participate given that they are not out on a mission or training. So if you wish to see how you can handle yourslef in a paintball arena vs guys who train to fight next to Delta, SAS, Spetznaz, Gru and other special forces.... need i say more?

Hope to see you all the the beach

Hello everyone, the time is near right? I hope you allready started making those list of what you need to tke along. Remember, swimmsuits are ussualy needed but sunblockign lotions is definetly needed unless you wish to brun your time in agony and pain from sunburns.

I got soem new, or i do not. I will let you decide.......

Torfi said somethign that besides the ton worth of goodies they will bring for the lottery he is currently working on somethign more special. He also suggested we add nVidia in our sponsors list. Now, he seems rather happy about it but very tight in further information about this. But i remember the Fanfest 2012 where allot of players left with a new cutting edge FX card from NVidia.

I do not know more.. or i am not allowed to say more or i do not dare to think what kind of cards (if there are any) they woud be. All i can say is that i did not find them on market and either i am dreaming or..... you will. Thanks Torfi for the dreams. Cant wait to nail your guy's BUTTS in the paintball arena. PLAYERS vs DEVS? Boy you you will regret nerfing our preffered ships. THIS IS.....

Feel free to like us on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/EveDustSummerfest

I need to remind you that the entry ticket price thanks to a new sponsor is now at 20 euros but we need some warning that you are comming.

Please just give us a name and a notice if you wish to participate in the paintball game. Do so by sendign a mail here

http://www.summerfest.eu/contact.php

Allow me to add that for those that have booked a ticket and paintball games the difference of the initial purchase has been returned via paypal and we will organize the paintball tournament on site.

I urge you though to consider the Paintball tourhnament since not only is this a once in a life time opportuity to shot a dev but the Devs are getting rather confident that they can take us alone. Now, allow me to return in the garage to finish the paint catapult.
