i was intrigued by 40k for a while, but i'm terrible at painting. Chaos/Necrons/Dark Eldar ftw, though.

My Nid army screeched to a halt when the leg of my metal cast hive tyrant turned out to be warped, and i am still yet to fix it... :/

Nids for the win tho, ever seen what hapens when 50+ gaunts are in you lines in turn 2 thanks to lictors +/- some stealers... brings a smile to my face every time... except tanks... i dislike tanks...

No Worries

What are your feelings on flamers? Nids are an army I never got to fight much, but I have... 9 flamers in a 1500pt force. Of those, 5 are heavy.

Stick em in tanks and you will do just fineBlink

Tanks are always the answer. Always.

Never used flamers that much as my army is fairly assault heavy

Chaos Terminators got a nice survivability buff in 6ed with power swords now being only AP3.

Tanks are no longer the answer to everything. AP2 weapons get +1 on vehicle damage table and AP1 weapons (the new black) get +2, for a terrifying 50% chance of an Explode result: nevermind the hull points. Like you no doubt, I am used to fielding a mechanised force that is still vaguely intact in turn 5; good luck getting any vehicle or dread past turn 3 these days.....

PS. Everyone is loading up on IG lascannon allies, or Tau broadside allies. These partially cover the required anti-flier long-range snap-shot function too.

I freakin' love that about 6th edition. It basically made 2nd edition armies (like mine) which are troop-heavy with not much armour really effective again.

If I am reading it right fleet of foot means you can no longer charge in the same turn you've ran just re roll the dice...lame

Biker assembly has commenced!

Priority:

- Replace chainaxe on existing biker with Icon of Nurgle (T6 bikers are so unfair)
- Paint 2 plasma gunner bikes
- Build champion to lead the squad, either with power sword or fist.

The next few days will be a parade of geekery.

I miss playing Warhammer 40k. Sold my 5,000 point Demon Hunter army a few years ago and haven't really had the motivation to get back into it and repaint them and all that stuff.. man those three Crusaders took me almost a month each to paint :(

I just today went and bought the new CSM Codex... Shiny.

Lovely Night Lord miniatures by the way, I am considering starting a CSM force, with the new edition and new codex... but don't know who to go for... I haven't played in about 10 years lol.

I am thinking either...

A) Word Bearers

B) Plague Marines
ISD Suvetar
ISD Community Communications Liaisons
ISD Alliance
