Freighter Alt

Hello,

I'm skilling up an alt (remap : Per/Will currently, there is still one, +3s implants) and I want him to be a freighter pilot.
My current plan is:

Racial Industrial V
Spaceship Command V
Advanced Spaceship Command IV
Evasive maneuvering IV
Racial Freighter IV

I was wondering if it were enough for afk hauling massive stuff in high sec (mainly cheap stuff, such as minerals, T1 mods, ammos etc...). Should I get Hull Upgrade V, Mechanic V and Shield Management V too ?

I'd like to finish the training asap so I can migrate the alt on my main account.

Cheers

Navigation 5 makes a big difference AFK.

I'd also recommend the HP skills at a minimum.

Evasive Maneuvering 5 is worthwhile too, as is Advanced Spaceship Command 5, but that's up to you. Anything to make a slow ship faster.

You might also consider some marketing skills for that toon. Remote purchase's, tax benefits, buy orders, etc.

Covert Hauler? for lowsec bargains.
Jump freighter skills for future events?

Lol... I know none of this helps your "speedy transfer".
Just sayin that: the longer you can hold the second account, the better he will be.

Hello Saru Koji,

You already got some good advice in this thread here due to the wonderful EVE community. During my active player time I trained up also a freighter alt! If you want to finish your skill training as soon as possible, then Advanced Spaceship Command V would hinder you quite a bit as well as Shield Management V. Though for flying afk you might consider training the Navigation skill as well as the Mechanic skill to V.

In the longer run you maybe would want to consider your own account for the freighter alt because then you can afk fly the freighter on that account and still have all the fun on your other account at the same time!

Trying to upsell him hmmm? lol

OP I'm all about the freighter alt, and I have to agree that Navigation V is the biggest thing you are missing as well as some trade skills. You can afk in the freighter, but you can also spend that time managing market orders... however you like to play.

Many thanks guys for your input. I still don't know if I'll continue the skill plan after my alt will be able to fly a freighter, to get decent trade skills or the ability to fly a T2 indy or both. I just know that at the end of the day I don't want to pay for two accounts simultaneously.

train your nav skills to 5, all of them.

Its slow and terrible thing to go slower.

(also consider investing in a LG Nomad set)
