Question for the Vets and Vet rules of EVE

This is a Vet question

1. Can anyone tell me why ive barely logged into this game for a year but im still paying for 4 accounts on a month by month basis.

im thinking that its because im addicted to skilling. What reasons do you have for continuing accounts when you should be taking a break.

Second

When someone asked me what the rules of EVE where i said

1. If you dont cry yourself to sleep every night then perhaps Nullsec is not for you.

2. If your tired of Nullsec politics then a Highsec griefer corp who preys on Newbies is the best way to play.

Can you think of anymore Vet based rules.

Thanks for the help

I'm actually guessing because you probably have great memories of doing fun **** and secretly hope that you will get to do that again, but are too bitter and/or burnt out to go out and make it happen.

You should just pay the 10 bucks to transfer two of your lesser account characters to the other two and plex out for a while. Modular POS's might be coming, a more interesting crimewatch... it is going slow.... kinda coasting myself.

Signatures should be used responsibly...

1) If you ain't no bitter you ain't no vet.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

The games potential kept me going for years now.

Basically it's the only true MMO I currently know of. Not single sharded? No player run Economy? Parallel Instancing? Sorry - not interested. But yes - I'm too tired of the blob>everything mechanics and CCPs completely pig-headed inability to react to mistakes they made for years - gallente were fine according to CCP - it only took them a couple of years to realize they were not, the tech bottleneck was pointed out as a weakness by Akita T before implementation, yet no changes. FW mechanics were only recently changed after 4 years, but in a totally unasked way and without fixing the NPC imbalances first etc...etc...

I'm at the point where I doubt it will ever get there, but I'm still too interested in it to not have an account and be able to log on.

Switched to plex payment during Incarnage because I figured if they were heading down that road, CCP finally fubared the game and I wouldn't need the isk anymore anyway, but returned back to paying RL money because basically, a month of eve subscription is what I spend on wine and cigars in a day, so it doesn't really hurt me.

If the lowest SP character you have is the one you log in most with, it's probably time to sell and start a new 'eve-life'.

That's pretty much exactly what I did. Sold my main toon that I have since June 08 and made this r-tard to start over again, with the knowledge of how to do it right. I'm pretty excited to get him going once I get some basic skills down. Just have to work my sec status up a little more. Concord doesn't like people popping pods.

Im with all of this and LCO it might be time to cash out and just start again.

I also made the fatal mistake of running a large corp and being a part of an alliance.

That was not fun

Yep, just did that myself.

It should be fun.

Good thread.

I've found myself using lower-skilled alts more and more. I can't remember the last time Othran actually did anything but its been months.

The "newbie npc" channels seem to be more "optimistic" about the game compared to other channels which are full of convos like : "Item x doesn't work" "Yeah its been ****** for years, good luck waiting for a fix" "Goddamn CCP and Soon™"...

Maybe time to bite the bullet and sell up.

I have absolutely no idea. Have you tried hitting yourself on the nose with a rolled up newspaper whenever you get the urge, or alternatively, sedating yourself? If neither works, I can get you one of these.

Both those rules are silly. A better set of rules to live by is to always buy the best feed for yourself, and make sure you get plenty of excersize. Everyone loves having a little freedom too, I wouldn't recommend keeping yourself cooped up in highsec all day.
