When you went into warp, it was like listening to rocket boosters firing. AND IT WAS LOUD.

Concord was tankable and destructable.

Concord agents made it easier to raise back sec status.

A few more brain cells fired together...

Early Caldari description had them described as "good bounty hunters".

CCP added a background description to each player based upon how their original and unchangable attributes were set-up.

Players were able to have up to two "words" for a name, unlike today's option of having a ~middle~ name.

Star gates were all one size no matter if they jumped from system to system within a constellation or off to another region. So everyone clustered a small distance from them upon landing and making gate camps more vicious.

Nullsec battle were fought mainly with battleships, while capitals were used scarcely and with cognition. Supercaps and titans were unheard of, and were a fearsome sight in grid (old Doomsday Device :p )

Anyone remember the server farts ? server burps ? (should it get asterixied)

Randomly you'd hear a loud bang and your screen would shake. You then knew you had about 5 minutes or maybe a bit less to get out of harms way as it was going down.

Likewise, sometimes when you jumped a gate you'd land on the other side to the exact effect of being slammed with cruises would give you - thus making for many near heart attacks.

Ummmmm.

Nope, thats the cool memorable stuff thats not been mentioned. Odd most of the memories are coming from game broken/braking stuff.

Oh yeh, i lost the image but i once flew through an asteroid belt FULL of missiles in my first interceptor - probably one of the most epic screenshots ever. Literally couldnt see the roids for the missiles.

"caught on fire a little bit, just a little."

Back in my day we didn't have no fancy Arabic numerals. We carved our numbers in marble using I V X and M like the gods intended. And we didn't have no sinful concept of zero either.

The concept of zero is without doubt the downfall of mankind.

Mr Epeen Cool

dude... how did no one (including me) not mention:

  • Setting an alarm clock to wake you up in the middle of the night to change skills
  • Changing what skills you were training daily (setting a long skill on every night you went to sleep, setting <10h skills to train whilst you were playing

OMG, I forgot about the alarm clocks...

Win memory. I'd totally forgotten about that.

I remember one day my alliance was defeaded by our enemy and beeing stuck at a station that was suddenly theirs.
It was 23 jumps to high sec where we where regrouping and when i tried to get a gang together to scout my freighter back with a few billions worth of stuf in its cargo, everything i owned back then, I got stunned because everybody had already fled and i was left behind.
can you see the picture of a scared pilot making 23 jumps alone trough nul without scouts and enemys possably around every corner? it was one of the most fun and exciting things a ever had done.Cool

This is where I put my signature, right?

Back in my day, the drone-lands were actually cut off from the rest of eve and was unaccessable, saved for future use once eve's population was large enough.

- 250mm Prototypes sold for 40 million each.

- M00 was the most well known pirate group in the game. Pirates could tank sentries and concord in Empire.

- Jita had a neighbourhood 0.4 system named Aurohunen which challenged 0.0 in the "ship losts" category.

Game is better now.

No but i remember when there were no shuttle BPO's and shuttles kept the trit price down.

And a sudden plunge in the sullen swell. Ten fathoms deep on the road to hell.
