When I realized that Odin Synthetic Eye could be removed only after buying several grey and gold for rerolls. (I thought they became permanent additions to characters when used XD)

What's your "OMG I feel like such a noob" story?

Fitting every type of small turret on a Catalyst then losing it to gate guns after shooting a container in low sec

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

When me and some of my alliance mates in a war were debating whether the size of a tower in a system with an even number of moons mattered when it came to sov control in a contested system. It was only complicated slightly by the fact there were multiple towers going online and offline and reinforced while this debate was taking place.

Oh wai.... that was incredibly complex and no matter how much experience any of us had even the GM's didn't have a clue. God bless Eve.

The sixth month in which I played EVE when I realized how terrible I was the first five.

I'm on year 3 now and am still learning stuff. Coming from someone who actively goes out of there way to learn everything they can about this game... Ugh

Was going to have gudfight in lowsec outside of a station, and instead of stealing from opponents can, I tackled and fired...when I almost immediately dropped to half armor, I thought how did that kestrel do this? Then pop! I found out afterwards opponent never fired and station guns popped me...after I GF'd my opponent...lol... Felt like such a dumbass.

When I bought my first Vaga, took it into low sec to learn how to fly and fight in it. Lost it to a Jaguar because I forgot to turn off my neut while run... Strategically retreating.

First time I went to low sec with my corp, we got into an engagement.

Well.... long story short, the adrenaline rush caused me to shoot and kill my Corp Leader/FC.

Let me link the kill mail.

when I was running W-space sites, and someone came in to kill me, and rather than trying to run off or fight back, I just thought "hey, if I don't shoot them, maybe they'll think I'm neutral and will stop trying to kill me".

When I take a surprisingly large volley and turn off my prop, turn my prop back on, heat my web, stop heating my web, turn off my rep, turn my rep back on, then start to heat my rep as I'd intended to in the first place.

Every time.

In addition to this:

"****, that blob just landed on grid. All I need to do now is warp out in a timely manner."

* Mouse cursor begins to shake like an earthquake.

Fun fact: I've been playing videogames for 15 years, I've played multiple genres on a nationally competitive level, playing under pressure or in front of crowds doesn't bother me, but nothing gets the blood going like the realization that I might lose my Reaper with a shopping one Tritanium in the hold.
