I have a FullHD display (1920x1080) and I find it hard to read small letters. In this resolution they are only 1-2 mm in size.
We need not only large font size, but also a completely new interface for HD-resolution!!!!

P.S. I can not send it directly to the developers in their blog :(

You can manually adjust the font size in the chat channels by clicking either the "a-" or "A+". They are situated in the top left of each chat window.

To increase the Generic font window size, hit "escape", hit the "General Settings" tab and on the left, about halfway down, are two boxes:

Context Menu Fontsize
&
Font Width

Playing with those 2 should make things alot better & the text much easier to read.

**edited bit**

As I discovered many moons ago, a larger display is needed when running in 1080p - Orginally started off with a 23" screen, been running a 32" for the past few years, and looking to upgrade to either a 37" or 42" in the next few months!!

Not fired a shot in anger since 2011.... Trigger finger is starting to get somewhat itchy.......

My poor ass just got my first 23" screen a few months ago, a Samsung PX2370.

It came with an DVI<>HDMI cable but with that it looked just terrible. Switched to a standard DVI<>DVI and it was great. Is that typical? Should I have used HDMI (mini)<>adapter<>HDMI?

Whatever the case, looks great now.

Really depends on the quality of the GFX card, TV / Monitor & the actual cable you are using. You will always get the sharpest image when running at the monitors Native resolution.

Best way to connect it all up ? Again, trial and error but usually it's down to what inputs are on the Monitor & GFX Card.

Here's a list of the most common types of connections you may come across:

  • HDMI - HDMI (full or partial) / Mini HDMI (full or partial) / DVI / VGA

  • DVI - DVI / HDMI (full or partial) / Mini HDMI (full or partial) / VGA

  • VGA - VGA / DVI / HDMI (partial) / Mini HDMI (partial)

  • Mini HDMI - Mini HDMI (full or partial) / HDMI (full or partial) / DVI / VGA

FULL HDMI is when the sound is ALSO sent from the GFX card to the HDMI port

PARTIAL HDMI is when only the picture is sent & not the sound (so make sure you have the correct resolution setting or you will b*gger up your monitor! ) With an Nvidia card, just open the Nvidia control panel & make sure the "Connector" is set to HDMI to HDTV (audio disabled) or similar. Main thing is to make sure "Audio Disabled" is displayed.

With other Card makes ? Sorry, no idea.. Only ever used Nvidia P

Personally, I'm connected using DVI - Full HDMI and using a decent cable (i.e. not cheap!) and this gives me the best result.

NB.

NEVER, EVER use COMPONENT (that's red, green & blue connectors) to connect your PC or Laptop to a Monitor - Whilst these are fine for consoles, they are not supposed to be used for PC's (signal degradation & interference). And try and steer clear of using adaptor blocks as these can cause issues as well.
