Well i have learned this lession all too well, and after today and what i saw in game; I feel that i need to post this.

1. If you can not afford the ship do not fly it
2. if you can not afford to insure the ship do not fly it
3 if you can not fit the ship right do not fly it
4. if you can not tank it do not fly it.

More over stick to what you can fit and if you start crying becaue you got ganked then you should not be flying that ship or you should just try a different like of work in eve.

1. captain obvious title awarded
2. 1 + don't insure your ship
3. alternatively let other people kill your ship so they may laugh at you
4. see section 3

17. Don't get high on your own supply. (Scarface quote, basically don't use up all your merchandise your suppose to be selling. Merchandise is there to be making you money.)

18. Red means Dead, Blue your Cool.

19. The only safe space is myspace, ohh wait nvm.

20. Don't drink and fly because you die.

21. Sun Tzu, The Art of War. This is Eve's unofficial player manual I suggest you read it.

22. Read my sig, it's true.

Welcome to Eve. Everyone here is an Evil Sick Sadistic Bastard who is out to get you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either trying to scam you or use you.

I can afford to insure any ship I fly.

I don't insure anything I fly.

Market PVP is still PVP. :)

Let people sell what they want for as little as they want and stop whining about your profit being driven down. If someone mines and build s hips and sells them 25% cheaper than you do an dis happy with jis profit then it is none of your concern.

Fly what ever you want, when you want, where you want and so what if you loose it. This is my advice to n00bs, don't fret over loosing stuff because losing is the great teacher in life and in games like eve. If you are like me learning the hard way is the only way, not everybody can be brainiacs like our l33t posters.Lol

I would modify this for T2 ships:

2. If you can not afford to not insure the ship, do not fly it

[quote=mavrick1]1. If you can not afford the ship do not fly it
[quote]
Goes without saying - If you can't afford the ship, you can't fly it.
Think its "Don't fly what you can't afford to lose" but thats' wrong too.
I can afford to lose all the ships I fly - not all ships i can afford to replace but thats an other story.

I see a pecking order forming.

See Mav, the way you approach every interaction in and around EVE is as frustrating and mysterious to us as this is to you.

It's like the Elite looking down on the Normal, who look down on the Scrubs, who look down on the Tards, who look down on the Baby Tards.

It's all good though compadre, there are plenty of Tards out there living really bitchin' lives.

1) All ships are equally useful in PvP so long as they're Drakes or Hurricanes.

2) Tengu is the new Drake.

3) Thou shalt not deviate from the Holy Template of pre-established ship fittings.

4) Mining is the backbone of the entire economy, thus it must be utterly destroyed at all costs.

5) The epeen waving of any player is the inverse of their maturity.

6) Every forum thread shall be turned into a "Goons vs Whoever" flame war within 3 pages, regardless of the OP topic.

7) If it's what I want to do then "the game is a sandbox." If it's what other people want to do then "the game needs to be changed."

8) The Gallente ship art department will never understand the meaning of bilateral symmetry.

9) Players will never accept that CCP is more interested in pleasing the majority of players than pleasing their own little clique.

10) You can expect all game changes to be the sort of thing someone would come up with if they were trapped on a frozen island in the middle of nowhere their entire lives.
