I was just the victim of a suicide gank. Not my first suicide gank and definitely not the first or last loss of ship because of a suicide gank.

My only problem is why did the ******* who suicide ganked me get away with it? Im operating in Highsec, where the light of CONCORD preaches protection and safety and "Good Clean Fun", But then cant deliver when the pirate actually evades CONCORD. i kid you not, this guy killed me, then warped off before concord showed up. That is unnacceptable. The little glimmer of hope for every suicide gankee is that the gankers ship gets destroyed too, That was the price of your ship, was his (or hers, watever) But when even that is taken away ,CONCORD We have a problem here.

They are police arent they? Why arent they tracking these people down and killing them. Going into stations and jettisoning all their valuables into space? If someone ran around downtown Los Angeles California, and started setting cars on fire just to see what was inside, You can be sure the police would have something to say about it.

But in EVE its almost like the police dont care, They warp in, Kill the target and then immedietly warp back to their space doughnut shop. Leaving the ganked carebear (i was mining, Sue me) wondering why, why did i just lose my ship for absolutely no gain to either side. Why did this man (or woman) whom ive never met see fit to ruin my day for no reason other than it brings them some sick satisfaction, And Why, WHY DIDNT CONCORD POD THE *****! If i was a CONCORD pilot, and i went through day after day of seeing helpless carebears Ganked in Highsec, when all they were trying to do was mine a little ore, or do a few missions to get some more money, So they could finally afford that new ship theyve always wanted.

Why, If i was that CONCORD officer i might start to wear a little thin. I can see it now, Id stop wanting to go to my sons Space soccer games, because of all the local space parents who ive had to watch lose all their assets, I wouldnt be able to talk to them, knowing their only questions would be "Why Didnt you help?". I would stop taking satisfaction from any of our CONCORDly Exploits, I doubt id even chuckle at Darren from I-25's RENS unit as he regailed me about his "Drunken College Capers". I may start locking Pods after suicide ganks, Just to feel the rush of finally sticking it to these Highsec pirates. That Maybe, Just maybe, If i pull the trigger, I can make it all stop. I can make all the bad people go away. With the pull of one trigger.

Of course id have to a CONCORD Police Officer for that.

Concord punishes offenders. That's it.

Eve does not equal Earth.

Concord cares very little for what the pod pilots do to each other. They WTFBBQ people who gank in high sec without the proper conditions (war dec, kill rights, -5+ sec).

They don't care about you.

They don't care that you died.

High sec is not safe.

No but seriously, CCP recently nerfed the player's ability to warp off after ganking someone.
So even if they one-shot you they have to sit there and wait 10-15 seconds for Concord to come over and see what's up.

Get back up, dust yourself off and try not to die next time.

Monte Cristo sandwich with ham and Swiss Cheese from Janet.
Ingredients:
•8 slices thinly sliced fully-cooked ham , about 8 ounces
•4 slices Swiss cheese, about 4 ounces
•8 1/2-inch thick slices bread
•4 eggs
•1/3 cup milk
•3 tablespoons butter
Preparation:
For each sandwich, place about 2 slices ham and 1 slice Swiss cheese between 2 slices of bread. In a mixing bowl whisk together the eggs and milk. Dip sandwiches in the egg mixture, turning carefully, until well coated and all of the mixture is absorbed. Melt butter in a large skillet or on griddle.
