just came back to the game after a little hiatus, and was training for SB's before I left and wanted to get back into it. havent committed to one race yet been training the other skills needed, but what i was wondering was what is the best solo bomber around, as I do want to solo with it in null maybe die alot but meh got to waste cash somehow,

heard the manticore is more for solo as it has the range damps which mean syou can sit back out of range and plug away at it, but then the hound can be better due to the dmg increased type being exlosive

anyway was hoping for some help on this topic if at all possible

If by "range damps" you are thinking it has bonuses to them then the answer is no. I'm to lazy to explain all their features so I'll just link the eve wiki page for them.

Use the right bomber for the right region.

You will most likely be going after ratters and they will be tanked specifically for the rats of theyre region. This means you want to deal the opposite dmg. eg Sansha do EM/thrm, you do Explosive = Hound

No Worries

Bombers are very nice in general, takes alot of player skill to use in solo pvp. But it can still be done to great effect.

Bombs are very strong and good for whoring KM's if u find 2 gangs fighting, they are also useful in 1v1 places if you can lure the target to mwd into the bombs blast radius. There's alot of things you'll need to consider that I cannot realy go deeply into as I personally do not solo in bombers.

I'm sure some people can give you some better pointers and good luck!

Use Torps

and this is when I link you a witty picture that describes my reaction to this comment, but no.

Also ofc you should use your torps in conjunction with the bomb launcher.

thanks, I think mainly I am after which bomber would be the best for solo null sec pvp, I know dmg types should factor to be like 90% of the decision but was wondering

Manticore can be set up for the best range/survivability. The 4 midslots and ample cpu are the strengths.

Nemesis also has 4 mids, but is much tougher to fit. Probably the hardest to fit comparably to the others.

Hound and purifier are pretty similar from what I have read.

Personally, I have a hound and am waiting on gallente frig 5 to finish for a nemesis. Within the next 2 months I plan to be able to fly all bombers tho. I suggest same.

thanks for that had pretty much planned to, just wanted to see which to aim for as figure the others only take 10 days roughly (have to remap when I finish part of my plan)

just figure should aim for one,
