I have 2.5 million in Amarr LP because I view tearing down the Minmatar LP store as a worthy war goal and dedicate a couple days a week to offensive plexing in their backwater systems. Selling items in the LP store I estimate that I can earn between 40 and 55 million isk an hour while I'm plexing. That's not fantastic but it isn't the end of the world either.

Because crashing their markets it bad.RollRoll

What does a firetail, sfi, fleet typhoon, and fleet tempest go on the market for these days? (stuck at work and can't check)

Phoons = 260
Pest = 350
SFI = 53
RFF = 14

All have droped a fair amount since Inferno.

The value of LP is determined when you spend it, not when you earn it. Secondly, and more importantly, how did you earn that LP this morning? Was it through mission running? And if so was it in enemy hot spots like Kamela, Anka, Sahtogas? Or was it in Ezzara, Arzad, and Asghed which have been owned by Minmatar for months?

True, very optimistic of you. When Amarr spike to Tier 5 that LP will be worth just as much as mine (probably more as there will be a delay in prices)

I only pick missions by type not location, I have run 4 missions in sahtogas this weekend, no one ever appeared on scan, even with 20 in local. I have only been harassed once and that was when I got stuck on the accel gate in huola this morning - derp (luckily some militia friendlies seemed to finish it of and the 30k LP from it was worth twice as much as the lost SB).

Getting them in arzad and ezzara rules though! If you'd rather change it so they only appear in enemy systems that'd be great, would give me practically 0 travel time.

Don't be a fool. That is called rationalization and it is a defense mechanism applied to explain behavior you cant support emotionally. You are not farming for the enemy to crash their market. You are doing it to pad your own personal wallet. Nothing more. Nothing less.

This pretty much. As part of the larger picture we're talking about a closed ended system. It's fine and good if one side beats the other into the ground. But how does the losing side come back? In the past part of the winning side got bored and left for null, or a huge number of new people joined the losing side. Are there hooks built into the system that encourage that?

An ideal system would have been one with two sources of income. One source we know and recognize as the LP store. The other would have come from system control and upgrades. Right now it's pretty universally accepted that the upgrades are underwhelming. If Minmatar could make isk based on system control AND separate from the LP store it would open a few more options.

You could, for example make the LP store based off of the average upgrades of the systems controlled. Amarr, with only 10-12 systems, could very easily upgrade all of them to level 5 and get the higher LP store. This would draw new pilots in. Minmatar would have trouble keeping its vast number of systems upgraded and would struggle with the LP store. On the other side of the coin Minmatar would be making income that could be passive in nature off of the vast number of systems it controlled. Passive income > income you have to plex for. But the hooks would be in place to make FW the seesaw it needs to be.

This of course is pie in the sky and we're too far down the rabbit hole to ever go back and change it. So insuring that a winning militia at least has to stick it's neck out to make LP would be an obvious step.

It doesn't actually crash any markets. The FW LP stores have a ridiculous variety of stuff, a lot of it non-FW-specific. Prices on individual items only go down slightly when warzone control goes up - overall profit from LP increases by almost double/quadruple (for t4 and t5 warzone control). ****, I've seen Firetail prices increase following upgrades in warzone control.

No, you're actually just helping us.

I do think that current FW mechanics are undesirable and snowball-y, but this is absolutely true. One side is actively trying, and the other isn't. Pretty much the same thing going on in the other war - the Caldari militia are actually involved in the mechanics as they are, whereas much of the Gallente just stomp their feet and ignore it.

Or they have simply paid your w.oring alts to come into our space or have rolled their own alts to minmatar militia to farm for easy LP. One of them from Autocannons Anonynous was so butthurt yesterday when I chased the no-gun dramiel around that he actually implied he would like to strangle my mother to death. There's plenty of room. They will remain room right up until we leave, then they will spend a couple days bitching about us cashing in and pissing off before moving on. Till then, Bandwagons a go go.

I would just like to say that this is not true. Even though some us "stomp our feet", the Gallente have the second highest VP/day of the four militias, and there are several "Mew"matar (Minmatar militia corps living, plexing and fighting in Gallente space) that aren't counted in those totals. Give Caldari mains (pvpers) and their plexing alts credit - they plex like crazy.

It depends on whether he is farming by plexing or by running missions.

Whether I am running amarr missions with my main or I am running minmatar missions with my alt it has the same effect on the war effort.

Jade I have seen you slinking around in a stealth bomber. My running around doing missions with an alt is no different. This is the case regardless of whether I am doing amarr, caldari gallente or minmatar missions.

I just wish more amarr would ahve alts run minmatar missions so they can make more isk and continue the fight.
