Lets say you can fly all ships except t2 caldari bs and caldari capitals, as well as properly fit them all.

What do you fly in solo pvp?

If you have to ask that question you should probably ignore anyone who suggests ridiculously expensive ships.

To that guy, good luck getting in Scram range of a nano-cane...

To OP, any ship you can run away in and afford to lose repeatedly. Solo PvP = a lot of running away, and getting wtf pwned when friends show....but it does have the heart pounding benefits of a "gf" every now and then

It was a comparison, I didn't say that the fit was the anti-thesis to the nano-cane. I didn't even say nano-cane, I said shield cane. What's the difference? The difference is very similar to that of the shield brutix and the nano-brutix. Besides, the speed difference is minor. Don't like the lack of a nano? Cool, put one on.

Depends on what kind of fights you're looking for...

"In your face" solo versus gate camps or small/med gangs: Dominix

"Running is good" solo vs gangs or solo ships (if you can break their tank): Cynabal, Loki or Talos

Honorable mentions: Ishtar, cloaky Proteus (awesome in WHs), Dramiel, Sabre

To be honest, I prefer the Domi...it's a Swiss Army Knife. It can hit all ship types, no tracking issues, does damage even when jammed, can field a sick tank, neut-proof. If you have the ISK, you can get a Navy Domi and fit ECCM to make it even better.

7x T2 Neutrons
1x Dread large Smarty

1x 100mn MWD
2x Heavy T2 injectors
1x Fed Navy Web (essential because you're slow)
1x SS Scrambler (+3 and cheap'ish)
(If you have a Navy Domi add: 1x ECCM)

2x TS large reppers
3x T2 hardeners (expl/kin/therm)
1x TS EANM
1x T2 DCU

2x repper amount rig
1x repper duration rig

Add 5 Gardes against stuff that tries to kite you and don't forget your Exile booster.

Yes, it's not cheap, but the mods actually improve the ship. The smarty's just against drones, cuts down on incoming damage a lot if you fight a gang. With heat you do around 800dps and tank c. 1300dps for a pretty long time. Also, 2 injectors means you're pretty neut proof. The scrambler and web are worth it because it helps to catch the stuff that kited you and slowly moved to 15-18km thinking they're safe.

Also, bait tank if fighting on a gate or else they will often run once they realize you tank them just fine. Pirate

It's possible to fit a cheaper version, but you would have to either lose the smarty or drop one heavy injector for a medium one. I see too many neuts around, so I'm sticking with 2 heavy injectors ;)

WTB, 8 high slot domi, with double the PG to actually fit your fitting. EFT warrioring is one thing, but just making up impossible fittings, really?
