From a Goonswarm corp? Maybe.

From Goonswarm the corp? No. Goons are loyal to SA, not the corp.

(j4g's are an exception of course, but accepting somebody that dumb in your corp is a punishment in itself)

Eve General Discussion

Because many of the things I'm about to say regarding Goonswarm have already been beaten into the ground, I will try to keep this letter short. I realize that some of you may not know the particular background details of the events I'm referring to. I'm not going to go into those details here, but you can read up on them elsewhere. I happen to believe that Goonswarm claims that without its superior guidance, we will go nowhere. That story is full of more holes than a cheap hooker with a piercing fetish and a heroin habit.

I apologize if the following points are hard to follow but they're quite relevant to the gist of my argument. First, the vastly inflated humanitarian forecasts of Goonswarm's apologues are unrecognizable when compared to their inevitable outcome. And second, Goonswarm tries to make its bromides more palatable by wrapping them in rhetoric about the need to protect the interests of the disadvantaged and the downtrodden. All of this means, of course, that Goonswarm has been trying to conceal its plans to manufacture outrage at its rivals by attributing to them all classes of materialistic imprecations. Fortunately, the truth about its mindless artifices is spreading like a jungle fire. Soon, everyone will know that Goonswarm claims that people don't mind having their communities turned into war zones. I respond that it has no real regard for other people's rights, privacy, or sanity.

Isn't it true that Goonswarm is an expert at faking sincerity? If that's not true, tell me why not. There's a little-known truth that isn't readily acknowledged by annoying troublemakers: In a tacit concession of defeat, Goonswarm is now openly calling for the abridgment of various freedoms to accomplish coercively what its petulant hariolations have failed at. My opinion of Goonswarm hasn't changed ever since, ages ago, I heard it say something about how it is a bearer and agent of the Creator's purpose. The point is that Goonswarm talked nonsense then, and it talks nonsense now. The only thing that's changed is that it frequently accuses its adversaries of resorting to underhanded tactics. This is yet another example of the growing lack of civility in our civil discourse that ranges from the pesky to the demonic and even salacious. In a more proper debate, one would instead politely point out that Goonswarm says that I'm some sort of cully who can be duped into believing that it could do a gentler and fairer job of running the world than anyone else and that therefore it is empty-headed to question its witticisms. Hello? Is Mr. Logic down at the pub with a dozen pints inside him or what? Goonswarm is not your average renitent faitour. It's the deluxe model. As such, it's poised to view countries and the people that live in them either as economic targets to be exploited or as military targets to be defeated as soon as our backs are turned. Let me close by reminding you that the statements I made about Goonswarm in this letter are in earnest. I will not equivocate. I will not excuse. I will not retreat a single inch. And I will be heard.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

If this is true, which I doubt it is, they're probably traded characters with Goonfleet history.

Ya know, you can have an SA account and an EVE account, and never give a **** about intertwining the two.

No, you wont get petty emo revenge by telling yourself they will never get in another corp...

Plenty will, not that you'd see some huge exodus from Goonswarm to some other alliance.

You chose Goons to start with. Nobody trusts them. Now you will reap the rewards for your actions.

Welcome to EVE, where actions have consequences.

I've had a former Goonwaffe director and capital pilot in (and out, and in, and out again, and then back in then out again) my corp for about a year, it's fine, nothing terrible happened and he flies a pretty mean vindicator.

Also, and I'm just putting this one out there, but I don't think goons will be terribly upset about you guys not wanting them in your NPC corps.

Yeah well many of them burned that bridge long ago. Bear

There's a Goon in almost every corp & alliance in the game. Some of them are alts, some of them are mains that have chosen to not be affiliated with GSF directly. Knowingly or not, every CEO has recruited a Goon at some point.

This post was lovingly crafted by a member of the Goonwaffe Posting Cabal, proud member of the popular gay hookup site somethingawful.com, Spelling Bee, Grammar Gestapo & #1 Official Gevlon Goblin Fanclub member.

Confirming that NPC corps have a very stringent application process.

IIRC we recruited somebody who used to be in a goon-friendly corp (don't remember the details, can't be arsed to look it up) and, as incredible as this may sound, he's a decent person.

Then again, the "bad" goons that everybody loves whining about probably won't be looking for a new corp anyway.

1. People deserve second chances.
2. At least you know he's a goon, it's the alt account with no link to the goons you need to worry about.
3. If you are a PvE corp or based in hi, I don't see why it would matter.
4. A lot of people would say the fewer the people in GS, the better.
5. Because it's there!
6. ???
7. Profit.

Frankly if I were leading a corp and unless I was directly interacting with the goons or in a region of space near there's, it probably wouldn't bother me. But then again, I'm not leading a corp.
