Game does not load after clicking "Play" on the launcher.

Eve launcher v.1.321

When I click "play" nothing ever loads. On task manager, I see "ExeFile.exe" from CCP ExeFile, which is using about 249Mo of memory. And does nothing. And I don't see the splash screen show up.

I did: (in order)

-Shutting down anti-virus.

-Repair tool

-Cleared Cache (in the eve folder)

-Uninstall and complete re-download of the game in a NEW folder

No new results.



Iv got skills to set in a very near future and I really hope this will not affect my character. PLEASE help.

Ok here's the thing. I made a deep clean of my computer yesterday, uninstalled crap I didn't need anymore and deleted gigs over gigs of useless data and downloaded crap. Somehow, I managed to delete "My documents" by accident.

I noticed something wrong when I started playing Battlefield 3, all my setting were gone. Then I saw "my documents" folder appear on my desktop. "wtf" I made. Then I thought "holy **** that may have fixed my Eve Online problem" and Im glad it did.

SO!

If anyone have this problem.... well, check if you have a "my documents" folder. Because if you don't, NO EVE ONLINE FOR YOU.

There is a utility installed with EVE called LogServer.exe; instructions on use are here http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Log_Server It would presumably have reported an error on client startup.

have you tried pressing alt tab to minimize the window? is it all yellow now?

welcome to my world, i've been told to wait around anf hope CCP at some point fix it, but i have to use windowed mode for now.
