Something that might actually tank gate guns if I go global. I have seen them before, and I have an old Lach with a terribad fit on it. I would like to use it or lose it Cool

Doesnt have to be cookie cutter, just tanky.

Hey, a few options for you here.

[Lachesis, PvP - Tanky]
Damage Control II
Drone Damage Amplifier II - Swap out for BCUs for small gangs
Drone Damage Amplifier II

Warp Disruptor II
Warp Disruptor II - Scram to taste (if you expect small/fast ships)
Large Shield Extender II
Large Shield Extender II
EM Ward Field II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II - If your in a strong fleet, swap this for Remote sensor Damp/another point

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Heavy Missile - Faction ammo if you have isk to spare
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Heavy Missile
[empty high slot]
[empty high slot]

Medium Core Defense Field Extender I
Medium Core Defense Field Extender I

Warrior II x5 - Drones to taste.

The above fit is designed with organised gate camping in mind, which is what you seem to want.

EHP 59k
Cap about 5 mins
DPS 211
Speed, lol ok.

If you want to tank gate guns and have a chance of avoiding groups of enemies that will want to primary you, a prop mod is 100% needed, here's what a kiting fit (with enough tank for gate guns)

[Lachesis, PvP - Speed]
Damage Control II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

Warp Disruptor II
Warp Disruptor II - Scram to taste (if you expect small/fast ships).
Large Shield Extender II
Large Shield Extender II
EM Ward Field II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Heavy Missile - Faction ammo if you have isk to spare

Medium Core Defense Field Extender I

Warrior II x5 - Drones to taste.

The above fit is more suited to a roaming gang due to its ability to pull range on hostiles easily.

EHP 46k
Cap 1m only - be careful with that MWD
DPS 180
Speed 1.8k (2.6k overheat)

TY Varrinox for the work in posting the fits.

I hadn't even considered a shield fit.. I can see how I would fly both versions you posted. Or even a hybrid of the two.

That looks like a very solid fit for gatecamping
I'd probably switch the drone damage mods for BCU though, because gateguns will make short work of those warriors.

Yeah I would probably agree about the damage mod choice with gate guns in mind.
The exact way you fit the Lachesis is very much up to the pilot, and SHOULD vary from fleet to fleet depending on what you have with you as allies.

For example a fleet with some shield Logi, you could drop atleast 1, if not both of the extenders and just rely on resists tank to stay alive, this would open up 2 slots for more Remote sensor damps, or more points.

^ this is just an example, there are many of other situation you would want to adapt the fit for.

lachesis can get quite tanky with respectable damage projection, however if you're going to go gcc under gate-guns solo, you become fairly vulnerable to tanky or afterburner fit frigates. However, I think to adequately compensate, you just need to switch your warp disruptor for a warp scrambler web (typically you would have 1 scram, 1 disruptor, no web). I would still attempt to disengage if tackled up close by a ab/scram/web assault frig.

[Lachesis, solo lowsec]
Damage Control II
Power Diagnostic System II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

10MN MicroWarpdrive II
Warp Scrambler II
Stasis Webifier II
Large Shield Extender II
EM Ward Field II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Large Shield Extender II

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Inferno Heavy Missile
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Null M
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Inferno Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Inferno Heavy Missile
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Null M

Medium Core Defense Field Extender I
Medium Core Defense Field Extender I

Warrior II x5

With my skills, 279 dps w/o heat, Null hits at 6.3 + 8.4, which works very nicely given your web and scram range. Balanced resistances with 49k EHP and a 124 omni-dps recharge tank (again no heat). There's enough CPU for a BCU, but I wouldn't use it considering you get dps roughly equally from guns missiles and drones. Furthermore the nano is very important because the ship isn't all that agile naturally, and if you can't control range, in this ship, you need to be looking to disengage.

Requires AWU 5 and a 1% pg hardwire with shield upgrades 4, but you have some flexibility if you drop to ions or even just drop to a named mwd.
