Corp. Ship Colors and Insignia

There is one thing I'd like to see in Eve its Corp (or Alliance) based colors on ships. Making corporations more diverse when flying ships across New Eden. If not that then at least be able to replace the insignia on the Ship to Corporation's emblem can be a great add on to Eve IMO.

post your thoughts on how it can or can't work
and please no crazy ideas just simple logical ones

and if this subject has been brought up before please send me the link

EDIT:
This is what i think the structure should be:

Default: will be the ships already placed insignia

  • Insignia's for Corporation (and Alliance) should be free to place on ships if player wants to put it on ship

  • If player leaves Corporation (Alliance) then the insignia on the ship will revert to Default if player had a Corporation (Alliance) insignia on it

  • Colors or Color patterns for Corporations(Alliance) will be created by the CEO for lets say 10,000,000.00 ISK all corp members who want the colors will have to lets say pay 5,000,000.00 ISK each if they want the option to place it on there ships
  • Each member is given ...say... 5 tokens(1 token=1 Ship) FREE for a Corp color Imprint on a ship. For every other ship it will cost whatever amount of ISK set by the CEO for 5 more tokens

  • ISK cost for CEO color pallet price is set by CCP Developers
CEO can set the amount of cost for extra tokens to members since the ISK will be going to the Corp (it will be more or less like a Tax rate)

    • For Personal Colors or Color Patterns on a ship that would go through NeX store and be purchased with Aurum (This item should be the most expensive in the exchange since there would be alot of rendering needed for a single custom colored ship) or the idea of Personal colors can be scraped altogether

V3ing ships is gonna make the corp logo possible as they are already doing that with the manufacturers of current ships.

I just want to see ships given medals for ridiculously dangerous, stupid or easy kills. I've seen a guy where he's got at least two pod kills with a thanatos...

I would like this idea as well.

Or at the very least a set number of color schemes one could pick for their ship.

    Bump for WIN
this would be good. corps and alliances mine the mats and form them into ships why can't we determine color and logos displayed. would be epic.

Nothing would make me happier than flying a pink drake fleet, possibly with long trailing blue capes, into righteous battle against my enemies.

Actually, nothing would make me happier except for a fleet of hello kitty stealth bombers.

I agree with that i wouldn't want my ship to be neon pink in New Eden. I was also thinking that Corp. (or Alliance) members have to buy the Corprate color set for a reasonable price if they want to fly in thier Corporations colors or patterns (thou camo in space has no meaning behind it) there can also be a veto system on what colors should be best.

Yeah Gallente had their done already. They were at the same time as Caldari. You should be able to see the Roden Shipyards logos on ships such as the Enyo and Phobos :P

As long as it's not for Aurum.

well if its Aurum then whats the point of making it Corporation (or Alliance) base colors on the ship. ISK would be better suited for this option.
the Aurum idea is better suited to Personal ship coloring than Corp wide colors so if someone wants that neon pink ship for themselves they can purchase the option with Aurum
For Corporations it will be purchased by the CEO for lets say 10,000,000.00 ISK (like medals) and members will have to buy it for 5,000,000.00 ISK
