NOT copies of pre existing rares
limited numbers (1/week) of specifically designed lottery ships
that wont ever be released again, EVER
new flavors every 4 months

WOW upcoming feature "Black Market Auction House"

the same feature is being implemented in wow, now i know we all hate wow but the general idea isnt a bad one to sink an online currency.

You fail at basic balance comprehension. A billion ISK worth of the same ships everyone else has isn't an issue. A unique ship that only you have is an issue. And that's not even mentioning the absolutely miserable balancing nightmare that such ships would be, or the insane amount of dev work it would be to create new ships for such a lotto. Or the nightmare it would be for fitting tools to try to keep up with them.

Just no, it's a bad idea which would make life miserable for just about everyone involved and would just annoy and cause whining from everyone who doesn't win the lotto.

do you complain when someone else gets a storyline that pays out a mining foreman mindlink?
do you complain when someone gets a deadspace or officer mod loot?

I don't think CCP, is to keen on another lottery. What with how the last one turned out. People are still *complaining* about T2 BPOs, even years after they stopped the lottery.

All this will achieve is a lot of tired and stressed art Devs, and everyone complaining that the large alliances are buying up most of the tickets.

This is terrible, last I checked this was a sandbox game, not a win the lottery from ccp and get a new ship game.
