Even as a non-believer this is quite possibly the most ridiculous statement I've ever read lol although it did make me giggle. But if that really is your view then it's just ignorant of you, religions are not about violence at all, just the very select few like to make it that way.

Infact, if everyone in the world followed a religion as it was meant to be, they world would be stripped of violence, but then at the same time we would still be living in the dark ages lol.

Well, if you got it into your head that there is a invisible man, all-seeing and all-aware, and you believe that, I fully believe that you are capable of anything to please your secret friend. Violence included.

Having rational thoughts not so much.

Religion and science is man made. No truth in either. My advice. Live happy and die.

Not really true, unless your mormon or scientologist. ( Sadly that might be more racist then truth.)

Bible shows God coming to abraham first, not the other way around.

Also man did not create the galaxy, so science doesn't really come from man as well.

Only reverse-engineering comes from man.

Don't reverse-engineer, live happy and die.

well for the above post, just because science didn't create the galaxy, doesn't mean god did either. nature has no consciousness.

the reason why i am atheist is because i am also a transhumanist, in the age where mankind evolves into cyborgs and becomes immortal god will have no place nor say. when there will be a time where our species evolves into gods capable of replicating entire planets, god won't be missed.

religion is cool for video games like warcraft, but for reality it doesn't work out.

^ If that is refered to me, I never said anything about who created the galaxy, I left it blank, since I don't know who did. Only stated that man didn't create it. Suppose I never proved it, but seems our bones only go so far back and were pretty primitive. Kind of makes sense.

Also only stated, man didn't create science. Suppose that is wierd. Mostly meant science comes from the universe's laws, and since man didn't create the universe or those laws. Did we really create science?

Also, overpowered shaman.

And if it were meant for me. I didn't state who created the galaxy either. Just that you should stop taking peoples bs as universal truths and live happy and then die...

When someone can explain the sun issues to me I may consider the faith.

God made the sun, and it kills us. Quickly if we lay in it for days. Slowly with cancer over time. Someday it will burn outd all of earth will die, so was it all just a dead end road or a sick joke?

You know I will never understand atheist who say they believe in science while claiming religious people have there fingers in there ears to the truth.

Atheism is the absolute belief that there is no god. They are doing exactly what the religious are doing pretending to know answers they don't then use science which is impartial at its purist to try to put down the other side. Atheists who try to use Science to prove there is no god are as bad as Creationist Scientist.

As a non religious person and as someone who admits they don't know the answer yet I pretty sure I am the only one who can claim science anything.

God didn't count on his child being so dumb. I don't know what God's contingency plans are for us being dumb. But lets find out together. See you in the pews this sunday.

for those who believe in god, i don't want to flame but i just don't get it.

"what's outside the universe?" god
"why do we live for 80 years then die" only god knows
"where is god" don't know
"what does god look like" don't know
"why is there evil?" god works in mysterious ways

the list goes on, so if you actually practice a religion that has a cosmic overlord, i want to know what exactly is gods role? because if he/she/it created this universe, is the task over and done with? what else is there to to? watch earth like we watch tv and youtube? is god bored because humans could of been more advanced, it seems very sadistic to start us with clubs and fight over meat instead of giving us virtual life with spaceships and galactic dominance.

i just don't understand the role of god, especially when every theist has no answer for any question posed towards the subject.

I think that is the point of faith.

Belief on the ideals without the evidence.

faith about what? so are you telling me religion is based on ideas, and people fight over which one is best?

Rarely do people really fight over religion. Look at every religious conflict and you can usually find some other underlying factor responsible.

well you are right. Except you keep to the silly notion science can tell us what is really happening. Please explain how science tells the truth and not man made truth...
