Since Inferno started, has anyone else observed how the same systems change hands back and forth . . . Sifilar/Oyeman/Raa/Tzvi; Kurniainen/Saidusairos. It seems obvious that Minies are allowing Amarr to do defensive plexing, in order to flip the system back with the Minie offensive plexing..

This is true. But this is why Amarr should stop flipping systems as soon as they can and let them sit vulnerable until we get enough systems to hit tier 5.

This is also why we should not defensive plex.

I think allot of people (not you liamn but others) seem to think that because we can defesnsive plex it is somehow wrong that ccp doesn't reward the activity. But this is a sandbox and there is no reason that every activity you can do should be rewarding. CCP understands that, but certain players seem not to get it.

However I would rather ccp removed defensive plexing altogether rather than give lp for it. Removing defensive plexing all together would mean that the only way to defend a system would be to actually defend it in pvp. Shocked This would mean you couldn't sit there with 18 militia in system and watch a single enemy run a plex just so you can run a dplex after the wts leave.

Of course if they did that they should stop the station lock outs. But that is a horrible mechanic anyway.

Anyway even with the current rules all the militias will figure out how to use the no lp for plexing rules to their advantage and all 4 will be flipping back and forth to tier 5. FW as a whole will benefit. But right now pilots are still using bad strategy.

Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=53815&#post53815

Let's try to keep the feedback focused, everyone. There is already a dev-monitored thread on this issue, I'm including the link below. This is where I'd like to keep all the discussion regarding plexing and NPC's, and where you'll hear updates from me as to where things stand and what fixes are or aren't on the table....

There are two potential reasons why your side plexes twice as much as any other side:
1. It is really easy for one day alts to offensive plexes.
2. Your side doesn't like to have fun.

So which one is it? Big smile

But in all honesty I think you have it the other way around. We defend home systems because we need to make choices about where to spend our resources. You guys plex at a 2x pace over us, so we do what we can to defend what is most important.

I suspect I could ask you the same question every time I go to nenn and see 20 or 40 Gals/Min all docked AFK spinning their ships..

I don't know about the rest, but I'm playing Call of Duty, not spinning ships when I'm docked. P

It's called League of Legends, or LoL for short. This is generally what happens, in flowchart form.

a) FC's (and a few others) get together (we have just recently corrupted MinutemanKirk muahaha edit: and starting on Tekitha and Lock Out) and go start a game of LoL which takes anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour.

b) Part way through, we get exasperated eve players come into our channel "guys, there's like X number of squids in (system near nennamaila) in (such and such ship types) we need a fleet". (This used to include MinutemanKirk before his recent corruption).

We tell them we'll look into it when we finish our LoL game.

Repeat b) generally with 2-3 different people all who make their own derogatory comment about how terrible LoL is and how it has a detrimental effect on the Gallente militia.

Once the game is done, we go to check if the squids are still around. If they are, we form up a fleet. If not, we go back to step a). (Often, we get reports that the squids are forming during our game, so this check might be "have the squids finished forming up yet? No? Another game of LoL!)

You now understand the Nenna station!

Requiring that all NPCs be killed to cap a plex would be a simple and effective way to stymie "afk farming" by brand new alts flying non-combat ships. It'd be a change for the better, forcing people to bring combat fit ships to clear the NPCs, and make the remaining difference between amarr/caldari and minmatar/gallente plexes (missiles or lack thereof) less impactful.

+1 to the OP. Kill all the rats, make people work for their LP.

And two more suggestions:

Increase the cost of the system upgrades equal the LP bonus of the current tier. Currently as the Tier level increases more loyalty points are paid out which makes it easier to increase the tier level.

Increase/decrease LP payout (or cost of system upgrades) according to the percentage difference in the number of pilots in the opposing militas.
