Planetary Interaction bug with program numbers?

Hello,

I've recently noticed that when I start my extractors on a cycle (say 12 hours), it shows 300,000 units total. However If i install that program, and then re-examine the extractor, it now shows much less totals, (usually around the 10% region).

This is happening on all my planets and on different accounts.

This occurs regardless of if I cancel a previously installed program or not.

Anyone else experience this who can offer an explanation?

I can get screen-shots if needed.

Thanks!

Its because you only get estimates. They get better with trained planetary skills.

I think when you examine the extractor it shows you the amount being extracted in that one hour long cycle. If you're running your extractors for 12 hours then seeing about 10% of your total extraction number that sounds about right.

That is why there is planetology and advanced planetology. With low planet skills, the heat maps you see are not entirely accurate. The estimates are based on the heatmaps that YOU see...but what is actually on the planet can be very different.

Planetology IV and Advanced Planetology IV will give you plenty of accuracy in your scans and make those numbers more accurate. They still won't be absolutely perfect, but going to V with either skill isn't worth the time.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.
