Sim City PI proposal

As far as making this a separate game goes.... I would prefer to log into Eve online to play this.

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

yeah your idea is the one i would go for...

the only thing is it would take alot of extra GB DL... and i read a dev blog a year or so ago where they talked about the limits to the size of the client and such and i would think something this large would be too large to be directly tied into the eveonline client...

Personally I would have taken any RTS/Civ/SimCity type PI interation over a generic PS3 shooter =/

Moving further into the Civilization V idea could be sophisticated Sim City or Dwarf Fortress-esque micromanagement for each installation, where the Dusties do actual fighting.

I'd ensure that all of my installations are designed in such away that all Dust mercenaries deployed will experience at least four of the following immediately upon spawning:
-Ground collapses into lava and/or pool of sharks
-Giant, spinning metal blades everywhere
-An enclosed/locked room full of switches, levers and buttons. Each of which floods it with acid.
-Minefields surrounding all spawning areas
-Skyfire lasers which are aimed at the firing controls rather than EVE ships
-Everything is on fire

It would be very beneficial if EVE players had access to the DUST 514 map editor for these very reasons.

I want sharks with freaking laser beams...

If the EVE layout for PI influences the DUST maps, you realize that everyone is going to troll the living hell out of the poor DUSTies, right?

Unfortunately I presume they will limit the interaction at first.

By the time the interactions have enough impact for us to really screw with them, chances are most of us will be bored of it. Although I'd still probably drop a few billion every now and then just to screw over a load of dust games.
