Is it better to use T2 or T1 mining crystals? A good buddy of mine swears that its not worth it to use the T2 version but it seems like it would be. What do you guys think?

The cost of T2 crystals is easily covered by the 12.5% increase in yield (m3), even though they last half as long on average (that's still 6.25% more yield per crystal).

Also, I do hope you are smart enough to not let your crystals pop, and reprocess them to recover all the Nocxium (but not the Hypersynaptic Fibers if T2). I like to reprocess them at 39 / 40 damage = 97.5% but this requires checking wear every cycle, so some people do it every 38 / 40 = 95%.

You can have a never ending supply of T1 crystals if you build more from the recovered Noxcium, or T2 for the additional cost of invention and Hypersynaptic FIbers (usually better to just sell the Noxcium and buy more T2 crystals). Of course this requires the ability to reprocess with 100% yield.

Thanks for the answer, it seemed crazy for them not to be worth using. Maybe my buddy was looking at outdated info on the crystals.

This doesn't make sense to me.
If you are speaking of liftime yield, then X * 1.125 / 2 < X

So its not worth buying the t2 crystals?

No, I suppose it is.
It was just the calculation , not making sense
