I saw Fighting, it was a very good movie if anyone got something like that i will reward them 1m for each movie it has to be good.

Dunno if I got you right, but first title that comes to mind is La haine. I don't think it has an english version though, perhaps there's some subtitles...

Whether off topic or not, Requiem for a dream is a must-see IMO, really loved it. Basketball diaries sounds familiar, but I don't remember seeing it.
