Hi everyone

I almost have my Cheetah Covert Ops ship and the required skills!

I was looking for advice on how to stay undetected when passing through Low Sec Gates. My plan is to carry expensive items from place to place and I really want to avoid player conflict.

What should I put in my slots?

Covops cloak, speed mod, medium shield and nano fit
You have tremendous bad luck if you get ganked in that.
If you're uncloaked and pointed you're dead regardless of what you have to be honest.

Ive lost a few ships because Ive not been able to warp. How can I prevent this?

Apologies if this question is 'noobish'?

Warp stabiliser? Does it help if I fit more than one?

Don't fit stabs on a combat ship. Ever.
On a covops in low sec you might get away with it as extra protection if you are decloaked. It won't help you against HICs though (e.g. Broadswords). In low sec you should be usually able to align away and burn out in the second or two you have between dropping gate cloak and engage covops cloak.

Do note that there is a big difference between low sec and null sec. In null you may face gate bubbles, as well as dictors (e.g. Sabre) or HICs on a more regular basis. Once caught in an interdiction bubbles (affects a larger area) you can't warp - at all regardless of how many stabs you have. These don't work in low sec with the exception of targeted interdiction of HICs (which only affects your ship).

Covert Ops are small and fast. It takes forever for most things to target lock them, and by then the Covert Ops is gone.

The last time I was in a Covert Ops (Buzzard) I landed in a drag bubble 100 km from the gate, was uncloaked by a nearby jetcan, which was put there by a Cynabal (cruiser-sized hull). I hit my MWD, cloaked, and made an easy escape.
