Hey,

Great spreadsheet and thanks for sharing.

I have a question about t2 production tab..

I put T2 heavy missiles in the tab (it dont matter which it shows the same problem) e.g truma fury heavy missiles and the graviton pulse generator will list in the mats needed but under it says in red "blueprint not found" and leaves the item out of the bill of materals at the top.

Is this where I don't own the Blueprint or problem pulling info of other sites?
I have had this come up in every version so far (2-3 versions i've used)

thanks in advance

Hey dedaf, been using your tool for along time now would like to say thanks for all the hard work. How ever with the new spreadsheet when trying to do anything i get a ERR.508 on all the ore prices all the requirement to build stuff. I am using Open office on my PC. Its a .XLSM file. Now i remember having to use a .XLS file the last time this happen is that still the same and if so where can i got to get that type of file.

You get the information about missing blueprint, because you haven't listed the component blueprint in the slots below, from row 115.
For a more detailed description check the FAQ no.6 here

The sheet isn't compatible with OpenOffice anymore i'm afraid.
In the beginning i was building the sheet in MS excel 2003 ".xls", but now I use MS office 2010 ".xlsm", which has a lot of features that are hardly MS office 2003 compatible. Therefore it is not compatible with OpenOffice anymore.
Even if i would save the sheet in a .xls 2003 compatible version, then a lot of features would be removed, thereby making the sheet incorrect.

Hi everyone,

I recently updated to the latest version ( 14,3,4) and everytime I hit the "update everything" to get the new price averages for materials I get an error which reads as follows:

Run-Time Error "-2147217376 (80041020)':

XML Parse Error

I have no idea what this means or what I can do to fix it but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would be happy to hear them.

Your Excel has a bug in its feature called "Visual Basic for Applications" please read the FAQ no.7 here to see how to repair your MS office excel.

Thanks A LOT for this wonderful tool!! I have been using it for about an year now and it helped me tremendously.

I have two questions/suggestions:

- Is it possible to manually set the various skills levels if no char is selected? This would be great in order to see how would things change if you finally trained that skill at 5 for example or if it is worth it or not to pursue a certain industrial "path".

- Do you plan on adding Gas reactions at any point? Especially the polymer ones (WH gases) :)

Much appreciated!

Top notch calculator, the effort is much appreciated!

One question though - I've probably missed something but when I've set my POS details in the POS_Production sheet it calculates how many fuel blocks I'm missing as per normal as well as how much stront I'll need.

When I go to the Ice tab though to see how much of each type I need to mine, it only shows the stront and not the isotopes needed for the fuel blocks.

Is this functionality in there and I'm just missing it, or have I somehow broken things? I've looked through the manual but the page is missing for the POS_Production sheet.

Hi anishamora
it is possible to set the skill manually in 2 ways.
When you download the tool, it comes with the skill names for all the skills needed in this tool. So if you dont do a automatic skill update, but just scroll down in the data sheet, then you will see the skill names, and then you can just enter the skill manually.
If you have done a automatic import of your skills then its a bit more complicated, because the skill feed from Eve does not contain the skill name, it only have the skill ID number. So in this case you need to know the skill ID and search for it in the data sheet and then change it.
I dont have any plans on adding gas mining. The only reason for it is that i have never mined gas myself, so i dont know much about the process. Therefore im not sure it would be a very precise tool. But who knows, maybe i will do it someday.

Hi Chakin

Im glad you like the sheet.
The issue you are describing is a bug i guess. Its a leftover from before fuel blocks were introduced, when towers needed pure ice fuel.
It is a link i totally forgot about, so thanks for reminding me. I will remove this link, so In the future it will not be possible to link fuel need from POS sheet to ice mining.
The main reason for this is, that you need a BP to build Fuel blocks, so direct link from POS sheet to Ice mining doesn't make much sense. What i will do instead is to make the link go from PI sheet to the ice mining sheet, so you can go mine for the ice material needed for Fuel block production.

i will make sure to correct this in the next release. Thanks for the feedback

I'm a bit perplexed at the moment, as I am sure in previous versions it picked up what minerals I had in my assets but I can not see anywhere in the tabs on the spreadsheet my ore in my assets.

Has this feature been taken away or am I living in a dream state....

Awesome job! One of the finest spreadsheets I have ever seen!

I have on issue though, somehow I`m unable to set an industrial character in the T1 production tab. All other tabs work just great, just this one seems to be broken, when I try to right click and select from list, it show a blank list...

Any Idea why it does this?

Hi GFRoSTY
I'm sorry to tell you, that this feature has never been a part of this tool.
The only import option you have, is to import minerals from you previous version of this tool.

Hi Vile Industrial
thanks, i'm happy to know you like the tool.
The error you describe is because of a excel 2010 feature that is not supported in excel 2007 or earlier.
I have now changed the data validation in the T1 production sheet, so it should be working with pre 2010 excel versions.

I just uploaded a new version with the a bow change, plus some additional changes and corrections.
Enjoy version 14.4

GREAT spreadsheet. Saves me needing to make something similar up.

1 issue. The CORP tower page is NOT working correctly. Fuel status is not being drawn down into page........ any thoughts?

Hey Dedaf!

I'm immensely impressed at the amount of work and time you've put into this amazing tool. Thank you so much for sharing it with the community. I'll be using it instead of my own spreadsheet as soon as I get MS Office.

I was wondering though if you had any plans to create a standalone section for capital ship components. The inability to select individual components and calculate the needed material is the only way I can think of to improve your awsome tool.

Thanks again for sharing your hard work!

hi Shand359 TBE
Unfortunately i do not have a CORP tower to test it on myself and i don't have plans to place one anytime soon.
So only way for me to test this, is if someone lends med a CORP key, so i can try it out for myself. If someone is up for this, then contact me in game.
But for now i do not have any way to check it myself.

Hi Chaotic Peace
Thanks, I'm glad you like it.
I think i had the option to build capital components in the beginning, but people got confused and thought they had to select ship and then set each component as well. That way they got double mineral need. So i deleted this option.
But lets try again and see if its more logic now. I have added a field for each Capital component, so you can build them separately from the ships. It will be in the next release, that i publish after Inferno 1,2 on 8th of Aug.

When I put my ID in, then my API, I hit update Skill data, an it gives me "Run time error "-2147217376(80041020)':

XML Parse Error

damned if I can figure it out, afraid I'm a better fisherman than I am a geek :)

Hi Melodee619
Its a common error in excel 2007/2010. You need to remove the macro feature and reinstall it.
Please read my FAQ nbr7 here to see how to fix it.

edit
For some reason that didn't work, i followed it exactly, an it automatically reinstall the visual straight away, so nothing changes.... I might try an remove office completely.
