Bug Report 139802 updated.

EDIT: As to ship-spinning.. I don't suppose the complainant has unchecked the "Load Station Environment" box?

Yes I unchecked that because I was automatically loading captains quarters. Originally it was that button that got you out of it, now I see you dock in the hanger or quarters in whatever matter you un-docked except when "load station environment" is unchecked, you are forced into the static hanger. No bug here, move along, nothing to see here.

Experiencing the same slowdown issues as others in this thread, when dual-boxing.

"Based on the feedback in this thread, we've discovered another issue where non-cached icon rendering is causing FPS drops on device reset (docking/undocking, jumping, alt-tabbing, resizing and toggling windowed/full screen)."

When I do the above, especially resizing windows / toggling and alt-tabbing I can reproduce the behavior - reduces frame rate to nearly 0 and requires a reboot at times.

System config:
- Win 7
- 2 x nvidia GTX 295 running in SLI
- Intel Core i7 975
- 12gb memory

Have not tried on Sisi but will be willing to if it helps - will watch this thread for advice / next steps from dev team.

This solution worked for me on TQ. I now have 7 clients running with no fps issues [all clients Shader and Texture at medium in-game settings].

now with AA off ( disabled from nvidia control panel ) all seems to work. I running two client in fixed windows mode on two different monitors, one in full HD one in 1680 x 1050. Both client have high details one was ratting and one in AP to jita FPS are stable above 60.
if i enable the AA i got the same issue with a general slow down, and i only perform an hard reset.

for me now work on TS, i submitted a bug report with the log server for the AA issue

For me right now, the performace and framerate is really good if not better than it was before slowdown. But some particular effects like new missile GPU effects does the similar problem with major slowdown. Already posted bug report about some these effects. I am not sure if the problem with multiboxing was solved but I think its pretty close to complete fix of this big issue.

Confirming that AA off on a 8500GT from Nvidia Control Panel for eve online, seems to have solved the issue with fps drop when docking/undocking and jumping systems.

These were two different issues, but I'm very glad to hear that they both seem fixed for you Big smile

Is this patch on TQ?
Because two of my corp mates say multiboxing now works for them.

Yes, we have a fix now out on TQ. We're still keeping an eye out for more issues, but the latest fix should address the most severe cause of slowdown.

Thanks for the work to address the various problems so far. But are you implying that you know of other perhaps less severe issues and this remediation is ongoing?

Got the slowdown after the latest patch today. FPS went from 60 to 6 after a jump. BUT, about 10 minutes later FPS went back up to 60 at precisely the same time as I looted a wreck. Weird!

I'm just saying I'm not confident enough to claim that this fix addresses all slowdown issues. If players or our metrics indicate there are still issues we'll continue to track them down.

The only issue is the on first undock after logging in the FPS drops as you load up the in space rendering engine. This is noticable with 3 or more clients. If it could be preloaded or undocking would be held up while it loads it would be great.

Todays TQ patch fixed some problems for me like random AA settings. But after a while of testing I still experienced FPS drops.

I tested with a single client and ran some missions. Here the client graphics settings, FPS and client Monitor:

I'll have to do a bug report when I have time. This last patch dropped my FPS real bad. Could run 2 clients before with all maxed at 60 FPS each and now with 1 client only dropped to 8.4 FPS.

The most severe slowdown seem to have gone for me, but the FPS is still not as stable and glued to 60 as it once was.

And I noticed a very specific case (easy to reproduce where FPS becomes glued to a very low number).

See: http://clip2net.com/s/25GbW

It happens when you go to the windows task-bar and keep the mouse hovering above any (not just EVE) running application on there!

I run 4 clients on Windows 7 using 2 independent ATI HD6970 cards. I am not sure this particular slowdown is really to blame to the EVE client, but it a remarkable slowdown and affects those multi boxing to some degree. At least it is interesting to know what is going on there!

I am serious!

I’m not having any lag spikes like before on TQ, but performance with other ships present in space is really bad. Going from 60 fps down to 30, 20. When before 1.1 i was at a steady 60.

the odd thing is, if undock and have around 10 ships around me fps drops down to 40, and if i undock on jita when there’s almost 50 or more ships around me the fps drop to 40ish too, it doesn’t feel like the graphical load is any different, vga is on the old average load while all the clients are set to minimum.

Yeah, i saw this same thing happening, if you move the mouse around the stack of windows the fps climbs up to 60... And when you go back to client and are on space fps goes back down to 40ish.

so if ingame you get 40fps, you access anything that makes use of the windows Aero interface it goes down to 30, and then it immediately climbs up to 60, even better than before!

Very weird.
