i'm an owner of a EVGA GTX 670, installed on seven x64 with whql lastest driver 301.42. On singularity like tq i cant undock because all goes in slowdown after some second then i log in. Every time i launch eve after a few minutes i must reset from the case button!

i tried some different setup from the nvidia control panel but nothing, after some time with only ONE client open all goes slowdown (WM aero included). I tried also the beta driver, but the max time before the slowdown is 20 minutes!

With all other games there are no problems, please fix this issue soon, i play eve from 3 years and now i'm in delve for the war!!! Is a ******* stress that i can't log in because eve for me just now is unplayable

Could you please send a bugreport with as many details as possible? If you already sent one, then please reply with the id of it. Is it possible to send an ingame bugreport after the slowdown started, or is it too bad at this point? Getting any kind of logs (either through the ingame bugreporting or through logserver.exe) would be very important. A screenshot (best with open fps monitor and client monitor (ctrl+alt+shift+m)) and your detailed video settings would also be very interesting.

I've been having the same issue, sent an in game bug report id # 140181

I have a GeForce 8800 GS video card.

I have the video settings in EVE set to "Optimize for Memory".

I run two clients with two screens. I just tested on SiSi. FPS was 60 with only the two ships on grid. FPS dropped to around 50 with NPC ships more than two BS NPCs. At two BS remaining, fps jumped back up .

In Tranquility, I have been experiencing severe lag when positioning the mouse, using Key-Stroke shortcuts (recalling drones, reloading turrets or launcers, etc.) or when trying to reposition the camera to a different direction in space.

Those issues seemed to have improved with the fix, but there was still a bit of lag.

Thank you.

I just logged my accounts on to the test server... there really wasn't any changes. Except for when I dock then undock. On TQ, if I'm docked, then undock, my FPS drops to around 7 fps on all accounts, until i dock the toon up that just undocked.. then it goes back to 30ish fps... but on the test server, it just stays at around 30ish fps now

***edit: I played around on sisi for a bit... FPS is a bit better, as i can get around 50 fps on all clients now, but there are still significant FPS drops doing normal things, like warping and session changes, when normally I would stay at 60 FPS before all this new stuff

Strange... Logged on, flew around a bit, jumped a few systems. so thought the issue was fixed. Managed to mission successfully, but on my way back to agent, I opened Internet Explorer, went to a webpage, and the frame rate immediately dropped to around 2.5...

so it stays at 2.5 even after u closed explorer? or u couldnt get FPS back up to nominal?

anyway, these lock ups on W7 only or prevalent on XP too? for me it seems XP crashes for no reasons ...

ATM i am having some huge fps drops on Tranquility which seems are getting caused by:
- jumping from system to system
- resizing the client window
- or docking /undocking from station

So now i am back from the testserver. After flying for 30 mins through the Eve Universe it seems that things are fixed now.
I travelled about 15 jumps, docked up several times, resized the client window multiple times.
No more major FPS drops ;)

System:
Intel Core Duo@ 2GHz
4 GB RAM
Nvidia 8800 M GS

I hope that there will be a patch for Tranquility soon. And would like to have a DEV Blog about this issue.

This is getting ******** now, having to restart the client after every 9-10 jumps or so as memory usage is upwards of 1.5gb and rising with every session change plus fps rates are all over the place, either deploy the fix thats on sisi or rollback the damn server, or are you going to replace every loss incured because of this ****** patch Sad

Please try running with the LogServer and file a bug report, attaching the log. Put my name in the header of the bug report so it gets to me quicker and I'll take a look. We have not seen memory leaks of this nature inhouse, so I'm curious to see logs from your sessions.

Wow, after the 1.1 patch i had massive FPS drop in missions like "The Pirate invasion" (angel) when looking at the station. Now i got smooth 60 - 70 FPS in the same mission on TQ.
Lets just hope the Multiboxing bug gets fixed on TQ soon.

I am seeing the main problem still on TQ. It acts like a memory leak to me--progressive through various session changes in the game. I am however seeing it fixed in SISI. I simultaneously auto-piloted four accounts last night 30 jumps on sisi and the problem did not manifest.

I did notice on SISI that the hanger graphic/animation freezes on dock up. Basically the ship wont spin but everything else works just fine including right clicking your ship. Its just wierd not seeing your ship spin and makes me think internet spaceships are not real and I should go get some exercise or spend time with my friends lol.

If you need a bug report on TQ for the main problem, and or on Sisi on the ship spin problem I can do it. Do you need these?

While I appreciate the vigor in which you are personally putting to resolve this issue, I'd suggest that CCP invest time and people in fast, easy, and idiot proof tools for customers to report bugs if CCP is going to rely so heavily on them for QA. The instructions look easy enough but between replicating the problem, using the log server, reading all instructions, and filling out the bug form, its going to take an hour out of my time which frankly is a bit much for a product I pay for.

Thanks,

Seb

With the latest round of patches an old bug I used to experience has come back to haunt me. I have 2 machines, both i7's but one has a 7970 with 3 monitors and the other is a 6870 with 2 monitors. A while back the one wih the 7970 started locking up with the f10 map, especially if i had multiple clients running. And when I say 'lock up' i am talking having to hold the power button for 4 seconds and power back on type locked up ... It seemed to go away with crucible. Now all of a sudden it is back and I had it lock up 3 times in the span of 30 min yesterday. The 8670 is having no issues.

Playing skyrim or anything else for hours on end does not have any issues so it is not thermal or hardware related.

8 Clients Same Problem.

Win 7 64 bit Ultimate.
Dual QuadCore(s) i7 2700J 3.5Ghz, 32 GB DDR3
Dual Nvidia GTS-450 in SLI Mode on one large monitor.
IsBoxer for windows control only.

I am used to running all 8 in High rez, but after this last patch I will be running in the lowest graphics settings I can, and still drop to 5fps for no reason I can spot. Also my GPU(s) suddenly jump to 100% when this happens. I normally see them at 33% to 65% with 8 active accounts in high rez.

Have not tried it on the test server yet. Hope the fix hits the main servers soon.

Please, no crazy talk, Internet spaceships are serious business! You don't need friends or exercise...

I'll see if we can repro the ship spin problem - I'll get back to you if I need more information - don't worry about the formal bug report.

Point taken on the tools - I agree, this is something we need to improve.

Bug Report 139802 updated.

Still suffering from extremely poor framerates dual-boxing on SISI as of today, when there are NPC's on grid (typical L4 mission).

EDIT: As to ship-spinning.. I don't suppose the complainant has unchecked the "Load Station Environment" box?
