Hey pilots, this tactic has been confirmed by CCP to be working as intended, so it's not an exploit! Avoid the embarrassing consequences for doing stupid stuff with this handy method.

Did you do something stupid and get tackled in your capital ship or any ship with significant numerical structure EHP? OH NO!

Don't panic, all you have to do is time your eject so that your ship dies to loss of skills (<25% structure) and you will be spared any lossmail embarrassment, with no troublesome 2 minute self-destruct timer to wait on! It's like it never happened!

Easily avoid killmails and never let anyone get an expensive kill on you! Just eject at the right time and laugh at the people who spent effort trying to trap you, because that's what EVE is about, right? No consequences for screwing up and getting tackled, just use this handy working-as-intended method that gives you a free pass!

Feel free to go back to nattering about adding killmails for self-destructs while leaving this massive hole unaddressed!

So you have just acknowledged to all that you have lost your carrier to people and used this very cowardly and un sportsmanship like way of getting out of a killmail and not just once by the sound of it but many times over. To make things worse you have actually worked out a system to not get a killmail against yourself for the loss.

Just by the way: How many carriers and dreads have you lost trying and testing this method cause it sounds like you do stupid stuff with carriers all the time. I mean if someone posted this in here and you where in my alliance I would question your skills and learning capabilities as a human being.

Scenario: you go belt ratting and get caught and blown up. Now you don't get killmail so you go buy and fit a new carrier and then go belt rat in it again... Now a sane person with brain cells would just go "dam I was maybe stupid and should not do that" but you go "hell I know Im going to loose more carriers but try and not get killmailed."

You most likely going to come back with a I have tested this in sisi or I have not lost any carriers belt ratting cause I am not that stupid but then you cant prove it cause lets be honest you not on the killmail.

Imagine my rapt attention as a Goon tries to tell me that propaganda is of no value.

Oh and ''X allliance is so bad that they selfdestruct their own supercaps to prevent damage to their killboard stats'' is good propaganda.

You have the best sarcasm detector I've ever encountered!

Try recalibrating your detector on the later paragraph about how "EVE is about no consequences for bad choices" .

In case your detector is faulty, the point is it's a cheesy mechanic and it should generate killmails even if loss of skills was the proximate cause of death, the same way CONCORD doesn't steal mails any longer.

No, I do not care about killmails and I also disagree with you about the mechanic. You ship explodes due to your actions, not anyone elses. Yours. That's all there is to it.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

So you regularly explode your ship when no one is shooting it? What? That's not the case? So...it wouldn't have exploded if they weren't shooting it? How is that due solely to your actions?

So I started this game called EVE, therefore I lost a Titan. True facts. Where should the chain of causation end? Should killmails just include your purchase history. I bought it therefore it exploded, if I hadn't bought it, it wouldn't have exploded.

In the average SC battle they're pretty much alpha'd straight through their entire structure, so I don't know how you think getting your timing accurate enough to be in the last 25% both on your client and on the server is going to work.

You're looking at hitting a button in the last ~100,000ehp when each of the other Nyx's shooting you is doing 10,000 a second, not to mention the Titans and support fleet primarying you.

You're basically trying to get this within a single server tick, and it's not going to happen.

Well the truth is that if you welp 40 titans BUT THEY SELF DESTRUCT BEFORE I GET THE KILLMAIL you still lost 40 titans.

however you have never been to that battle and that titans never existed anyway Cool

So what the loss are you speaking about? Lol

If you actually think the killmail is worse than losing couple of billions worth of ship and equipment, then I feel for you my friend. However, what you think is wrong because you are bad. If my enemies would kill themselves I'd be happy.
