Make EVE work through VPN

I'm using ASTRILL, but when I have it in OpenVPN mode, it won't work. The launcher works fine. Shows number of players and everything, but the EVE client always gives Status Unknown, and won't let me log in until I turn the VPN off.

Anyone know how to get EVE to work with a SSL vpn? There is an OpenWeb mode, and it will work then, but OpenWeb only affects web browsing.

Also, I set the VPN client to ignore eve.exe. But maybe there are other programs I have to set to allow. What are they?

Thank you,

Cant add a lot to the VPN discussion if you've made sure the correct ports are open but ...

The EVE Client process is the ExeFile.exe, eve.exe is just a little wrapper which we use to fire off the Launcher.

EVE most certainly works over VPN; for security reasons I can only connect with my dev character using VPN (client from Cisco).

I tried adding ExeFile.exe but the client still couldn't see tranquility. I've got an open ticket with Astrill now asking how to change my port forwarding. They seem to assign a port, I can't just change it to 26000.
