Making the Vengeance effective.

I have recently gotten into a vengeance and so far, I am loving it. When I had a corp mate help me test the tank at my current skills I found that it was..... Really squishy. Mind you this was using a single armor rep 2 fit, but going through armor that quickly doesn't seem right.

I am asking for a list of skills other then Hull Upgrades, which I just got to 4 and will be getting to 5 shortly, which will help make this ship seem like it should be. Also which skills make this sucker faster then 576m/s o.O that **** seems a little slow when most people I ask says it should be going more around the 700 area....

I also noticed that even at Assault Ships 4 the bonus to cap recharge seemed rather lacking and I couldn't keep The rep on for what seemed like an appropriate amount of time.

Umm what is eve board? I only know that Pyfa/eve on show my skills :/

That's a complete bastard to get rid of once it tackles you. Tanks 400dps and is hard to neut out.

You can switch to T2 reppers or cheaper faction. Lots of fun to fly if you enjoy tackling.

Dual rep is fine for gang tackle, but for solo it's going to screw you over. You need a web to apply dps (rockets) and stay in range. As you've already discovered OP, the Vengeance is slow as hell.

(Also the fact Othran put autocannons on a ship so heavily bonused for rockets makes me want to cry a little)

Korvus Falek pretty much flies the Vengeance as his "signature ship", and he talks about it in this post below. Obviously because he's a rich bastard, he likes to faction fit it, but it also works perfectly well with Meta 4/T2 modules.

Personally I love the Vengeance, it's my go-to ship for soloing in a frigate. Stick with it, and you'll realise quite how tough this little bugger can be :P

autos are on that fit because of fitting issues, seraph. and it's obviously a gang fit. note the part where he said
