My overview hasn't changed since I started eve a few months ago, which has been fine while I've been running missions. But I'm planning on moving to a C5 WH soon so I want to get it set up so it's efficient as possible for PvP, PvE, Exploration etc.

I'd appreciate it greatly if someone could link me to a thread or even a website that will show me a decent overview setup.

Thanks

EveUni overview setup is a good place to start: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Overview_Guide.

Ready to go settings can be found here. Adjust them to your own preference using the above-mentioned guide.

Thank you both for the speedy replies. I've gone with the EVE UNI set up, it seems to suite my needs =].

I've been setting up my overview, is there anyway to have my drones show on screen [so I can see where they are] while keeping them off my overview?

There is. The best way to do this is to set up two different overview settings. One that shows the brackets of everything you want to see on screen, and one that shows everything you want to see on your overview. Then in your overview settings, on the last tab, you can designate a bracket profile to use. Then apply the saved overview setting showing the drones and you should be good to go.

I know the above works but it may be possible, and easier, to just set no bracket profile and then select show all brackets in the right click menu on your overview window. I just haven't set up an overview in a long time to be know off hand if that will work or be the best option for you!

The first method works and is explicitly included in my settings and setup instructions if you want an example.
The second also works but will show everything which is not what you want in a combat situation :) Not to mention the lag factor.
