This is what I use when Sniping in my Cormorant. Does 116 DPS at 95+9.8kms with all Vs. Requires +1% PG implant.

Does anyone have any clever twists that would improve this fit? Anyone use anything slightly different that they wouldn't mind sharing?

If you have a genolution CA-1 and CA-2 it frees up that slot 6 implant spot for a small hybrid damage implant. My fit is similar except:

Mids:
Named MWD
Tracking Computer II x 2

Ancillary Current Router x 2
Small ionic field projector

For some reason I'm waaaaaay over powergrid for that fit, at all V. Also, the targeting range seems to be too much higher than what your guns demand!

-Replaced MWD with a meta variant. IIRC, meta MWDs are superior to T2 (?)
-Replaced target range rig with a powergrid one. Lock range remains at 110km. It does 10dps at that kind of range, so it's perfect.
-Replaced the Microaux Power Core with the T2 variant released in Inferno.

I'd say it's better in every way that matters, but I may have missed some niggles.

Because you might in other locatiosn have chance of fighting a cruiser or even better a juicy battlecruiser. Dramiels eat BC sloolly but surely. Trashers simply disapear in front of battlecruisers.

I mean sure, I've killed a couple of Thrashers in my Hookbill, but with such a cheap hull/fit, why even risk a much more expensive setup when you can effectively kill other frigates in the Thrasher?




You're asking a situational question, so you will get situational responses to justify either for or against you're given proposal for a situation. Thrashers are good in situations; so are "drams, comets, and Hookbills".

Same as above but with two tracking computers and one sensor booster. No hybrid optimal rig but a polycarb housing for burn and turn and one capacitor ancillary rig. This one is mine. It needs Advanced Weapon Upgrades 5 and no PG Implant
