Corp security: Voice & API

Not sure on which sub forum to post this, guess it'll have to be this one.

I'm setting up my own PVP focussed corporation and while I know a lot on EVE itself and PVP in particular I'm fairly clueless on the whole spy, meta game and member tracking stuff. I'm not naive enough to think that I can fully avoid any sort of spies or similar annoyances I DO want to put in the effort to make an informed decision to lower the chance as much as possible. Here's a bunch of questions I couldn't really find satisfying answers on.

1) Regarding API, the corp will require a full API to join and while I'm not interested in spying on corp members I DO want to have a good idea about their background, skills and whatnot. I checked myself out on EVEmon and found you can already figure a whole lot but I'd be very interested to learn about other, better and possibly more elaborate API readers. I'm particularly interested in finding out wallet transactions beyond a certain time frame, EVEmon only shows transactions/donations for a fairly short period of time it seems and for obvious reasons I want to go back all the way to the beginning.

So which other API readers would one recommend and for what reason, also any tips on what to look for or what to keep in mind are very much appreciated.

2) Voice software, I'm fine with using any of the more obvious options be it TS, Vent or Mumble but I've mostly been a user and never really bothered much with the admin/security aspect of it. The corp will never be anything more than medium sized (no illusions of grandeur here) but I would like to know which of those three is the best (and worst) from a security point of view. I would like to have full control of users, be able to create guest users accounts with limited options and be able to kick/ban those within seconds without having to jump through hoops. I'm fine with having to micromanage each member account as long as I have full access from within my own voice client.

Perhaps there's other things I really could/should reconsider and I'd very much like to hear opinions from people who have more experience in this matter.

3) Voice services, there's several people offering services for corporations, be it web space, killboards and even voice servers. I'm fine with paying a RL company RL cash for a voice server but if it can be done with isk that's even better (being space rich is awesome), I AM kinda worried about how well that works long term and if these services are prone those providing said services becoming "interested parties" and gaining access to info from the stuff they provide. Any experience or knowledge on the matter would be very much welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

If you are about to start a PvP corp, you could assume that you are not of special interest for corp thiefs and spies. With some easy rules, you can safe you all the work.

1. Expect from all members to care for themselves monetary. If the corp itself is poor, there is nothing to steal.
2. If your corp is just interested in "good fights" a spy that reports your fleet is not a problem. You will jump into some deadly gatecamps maybe, but that would only be a test of your mettle. If you care for the holy killboard efficiency, yes, then a spy can be a problem as you won´t be able to blop properly.
3. If you stay away from setting up poses, there goes the last reason to spy on you. No passwords, nothing to spy.

I know all that :)

Still, not taking precautions is dumb and a great way to get in trouble and then blame it on "bad luck", better safe that sorry and that's why I'm trying to figure out the answers to my questions.
