NPC Pirate Frigates as Faction LP Store Rewards?

I've recently done some Angel Missions in Null, and I wondered how one could go about making that more different and/or more rewarding, seeing as currently, there's virtually no difference between the LP rewards and mission structures between Hi and Null missions.

This reminded me of an issue I had since I started playing, the fact that almost all rats fly ships with badass skins that look way better than the standard racial colour, some of them even having several custom new models.

So I'm sure this has been proposed before, but why not make Pirate Faction painted ships and custom ships low LP rewards? This seems reasonably simple, one would bring a normal ship into the LP store, drop some lP and then receive a painted version. Of course there would have to be balancing for the new (angel, about 4 custom frigates if i'm not mistaken) frigates and they'd have to be buffed above their current ratnerf stage, but I think it would work and make missioning in Null at least a little more interesting.

I believe Pirate ships are already available from the Pirate Corps LP stores.

As for painting or changing your ship skins, there has been talk of that possibly being added to the Nex Store.

I'm not talking about the actual Pirate ships, I know they're available. I'm talking about the ships exclusive to NPC rats, there are about 4 Pirate frigate models that rats use that are not playable.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I don't believe pirate rats have any truly unique ship skins. All are available - albeit sometimes repainted - for players.

I've been running missions for days now, and I'm pretty damn sure the low Angel Cartel rats have several unique ship models. I'm so sure because they used to be listed in iClone as frigates, named "pirate frigate" 1-5. I'm gonna take some screenshots and post them here so you can see.

Thanks. Those are the ones I'm talking about. They look better now after the ship update, but those are the ones.

edit: And I think offering the faction paints like the EOM blue or the blood raider splatter as LP rewards instead of Aurum items is a good idea.

Aren't the Nomad, Thug, Outlaw, and Ruffian all unique to the Angel Cartel as well? I know the other frigates are based on the Dramiel and Daredevil.

Hijacker, Nomad, Outlaw, Thug, Ruffian and Rogue have unique models, yes.
