PL were banned from ATX right ?

I thought PL and a few others were banned from ATX right ?
Why PL was playing today ? CCP changed their decision before the ATX ? Or what happened ?

PL's B team, the one with Sniggwaffe, that one got banned.

HYDRA and Outbreak, who were both practicing as one team, both got banned.

PL was never banned, only their farming corp was not allowed to participate.

Thats exactly what happened. Though there are lots of behind the scenes deals that went on. Goonswarm didn't attempt to launder any money from the jewbalgate incident and instead used that money they could have laundered as a token of goodwill to CCP in order to get their pet alliance, PL, unbanned from the tournament. Needless to say the plan worked perfectly.

Correct, from my gatherings, they were not banned. The rules prior to the tournament said that sub alliances or "B" teams would be prohibited. Any alliance caught buying, throwing fights or having B teams would have both disqualified. PL is the known name, so would only make sense that would be the solo member of their coalition to join.

Just to clarify:

Pl's 'B' team were never banned. We spolke to CCP about the possibility of entering sniggwaffe into the alliance tournament but in the name of fair play and to not have any controversy we asked them not to participate.

Just so you know, sniggwaffe never has been or never will collaborate in PL's testing, because theyre full of spies. Last year we donated them some isk to run their team, that was it. They're our training alliance. We had no intention of running a B team this year because it ended so horribly last year

One of my supersecret alts got a message from a even more supersecret alt which is on a mailing list (supersecret ofc!) which leads to a dead letter box which is used by a supersecret organisation (which doesn´t exists; it´s only a cover for the real superstsecret stealth organisation).

The message said:

PL was banned (and obviously still is).
They executed "The_Sphere 2.0.exe" which enabled them to take at AT-X while beeing banned.
