Dear Players,
try to Uninstall Adobe Flash. It may help.

Nah, that's not it. When I downloaded the latest Adobe version and updated, It had compatibility issues with Firefox so I reverted to a very old version a long time ago, and still having Eve issues.

I am experiencing major client slow downs after launching second client.

Also getting the huge drop in performance from 60+ fps to 2-3 fps after session changes (jump/dock/undock).
I am usually running 3-4 clients, 1 at 1080X5780 rest at 1920x1080, however issue still happens even when only running 1 client, (just more often when using multiple due to increased session changes).

When offending client is closed the others return to normal, currently restarting eve aprox 15 times in a 3-4 hour play session, having this 'feature' while pvping is not fun. Can you confirm reimbursement plans for ppl affected by this feature?

Have submitted bug reports etc etc, Any updates from CCP would be great.

Task manager shows not excessive ram/cpu load during issue.

System:
CPU: i7
GFX: ATI 5870 running in eyefinity mode on 3 monitors.
RAM: 6GB
OS: Win7
Eve running from SSD.

Just uninstalled Adobe Flash/Shockwave/Air players, got the new Nvidia 301.42 driver update , then installed the Adobe's back on and still no change.

I am getting a drop of frames down to 6-7 from 30-40 with 2 clients or from 60 with 1 client.

Still the same problems as everyone else in here, but I noticed yesterday a way to reduce my problems at least a bit.

when I reduce the resolution of the second (and even third) client in window mode to minimum I can run three clients at stable fps.

Of course it sucks to use such mini windows, but at least I'm able to make myself cynos again.

(the old bug was a freeze on the map screen with a running flash player on your browser)

The latest changes (fix for Anti-aliasing and writing settings) are on Singularity now. It would be awesome, if you could try them out and report back in this thread.

For further reports about problems: Please give us information about your video card and your video settings to make it a bit easier to see any trends.

While keeping one client on TQ and opening a test client on Singularity jettison a can, putting items in it, moving items around on that client, things ran fine. Its only a quick test and needs further investigation/validation. The frame rate dropped only from 60 to 52 then back very quick, which is a lot better then my experience with cans in TQ.

So first impression is that it does improve things, I will put some more time in for more detailed tests when i get back from work ....it looks promising!

I am serious!

All right, after over one hour of jumping around i think you should roll this to tranq asap.

Although, i did find a small bug with the monitor window that makes the client crash if you collapse it. :D
heh, not related to this problem with FPS, but still annoying. Easy way to reproduce it is to switch to performance tab and collapse.

http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/9137/201207020857fgh.jpg

The screen shows a one hour average on 6 clients running on http://pastebin.com/JLUG0Q3Y

one of them shows less data, thats the one that crashed. :/

also, please disregard the shield boosters. Blink

btw i could only load half the clients... is there some sort of limit on connections on sisi? never loaded that many.

AAAARGH!!!

I have major LAG problems so i found this thread. This all sound very similar what im facing. All is good when i run only 1 client but when i log another client in game went so laggy it took 10secs settings page to open from esc button. Note i had both characters in same system. Lag wasnt that terrible when i reduced other client display settings. But when i undocked that alt my whole comptur froze like 15 secs. I didnt have any lag problems before this latest patch. I used to run 2 clients with max grapics and world of tanks same time with this computer. Its also pretty new comp so it shouldnt be reason for lag.

- 3,4ghz quad core
- hd4870
- 4gb ddr3
- 64 bit win 7

This really sux more than the stupid inventory did. Now i cant really play this game anymore. Except maybe with 1 char but whats the fun in that...

Edit: Also i noticed that when the major lag hits my cpu usage is only 40% and memory usage is only around 60%.

Im running 1920x1018 on window mode normally. With "quality" preset. I used to be able to run 2 or even 3 clients with it..

Now i noticed that i got lag problem stabilize little by closing all uneeded programs like steam, adobe, eve launcer etc that takes memory. Then i loaded "memory" preset on client and even set my alt on 1680x1050 window mode. With that i was without lag around 20mins. I even jumped trough gates and shot stuff. But all the sudden when i docked both characters same time on same station i got uber lag again. Nothing helped except closing both clients and restarting them. And it did also stuck my whole computer so it took like 10secs open windows tab.

i'm an owner of a EVGA GTX 670, installed on seven x64 with whql lastest driver 301.42. On singularity like tq i cant undock because all goes in slowdown after some second then i log in. Every time i launch eve after a few minutes i must reset from the case button!

i tried some different setup from the nvidia control panel but nothing, after some time with only ONE client open all goes slowdown (WM aero included). I tried also the beta driver, but the max time before the slowdown is 20 minutes!

With all other games there are no problems, please fix this issue soon, i play eve from 3 years and now i'm in delve for the war!!! Is a ******* stress that i can't log in because eve for me just now is unplayable

Could you please send a bugreport with as many details as possible? If you already sent one, then please reply with the id of it. Is it possible to send an ingame bugreport after the slowdown started, or is it too bad at this point? Getting any kind of logs (either through the ingame bugreporting or through logserver.exe) would be very important. A screenshot (best with open fps monitor and client monitor (ctrl+alt+shift+m)) and your detailed video settings would also be very interesting.

also looks like a nasty memory leak, was monitoring task manager processes with one client logged in started at around 650kk and crept up to over 1gb memory used and still rising even when idle docked in station Ugh

This is the exact problem I have, no matter if its one client or twelve, they all stay around 600-700 mb memory usage. Each session change I go through bumps that memory usage up. I've had it as high as 1900 mb while out in a large fleet, running a single client. I can mine for hours with no problems, so long as I have no session changes.

i7 CPU 930 2.8 GHz
16 GB ram
nvidia geforce GT 240
nvidia geforce GTX 465
nvidia geforce GTX 465 (yes, two of them)

---edit----
now it looks like i was describing a separate problem. Ive just now twice had my framerate go from 50ish down to 1-2. The first was right after undocking, the memory usage went from 700ish to 850ish. The second was a couple minutes after docking coming home from a fleet, the memory usage went from 1300 to 1200ish.

just tested on Singularity and the Antialiasing bug is gone, framerate is like it was before (maybe a little bit better)
