Hi guys im looking for a few good set ups for doing exploration in amarr space.

Want to go t3 but im unsure which one to use. unfortunately the only one i cant fly yet is a tengu.

im probs leaning towards a legion but your advice n fits would be much appreciated.

I have scanned the forums and although there is some stuff out there it doesnt seem to shed much light.

Thanks in advance

Paikis has it right, a drone boat will deal most of its damage, while still being able to fit every module your heart might desire.

That said, as OP wants a T3, let's focus on that: any T3, properly fitted for its strengths, will do fine. This means that as long as you don't try making someting silly, like a railgun Tengu, you'll be fine :) Tengu's the bread and butter of T3s and can do just about everything (except cargo space, as you'll burn through those missiles like crazy :p), Legion doesn't need to carry ammo, Proteus has a sick tank and drones, while Loki is sort of like a mini Tengu (has a bit less potential dps), but without reliance on kinetic damage and with considerable EM resists, making it superior vs. Raiders and Angels.

Besides, it's easier to make a ship that you like work for you than it is to get used to a ship you don't like :)

If you can fly all T3s but Tengu
If your drone skills are really good
If you don't mind investing considerable amount of iskies ( like with all T3s )

Then you can go for drone Proteus. Very good for solo exploration in both hi and low ( except Angels lowsec ).
Outside of that - Ishtar is also great.
